I Have Optic Neuritis Primary Stage Of Ms. Now Pain In Left Eye And Slight Blurred Vision. 3 months ago, I had blurred vision and my doctor had prescribed Medrol 16 mg and at another time Omnacortil 20 and 10 mg. I would like to know which one to take now. Considering the side effects of medrol, i want to know if I can take omnacortil 10 mg?

Hi. I already went through the Primary-Stage (hectic pain in Left eye that eventually 'pulled' the eyeball almost completely to the far left side of the eye-socket). After that, I developed Acute Muscle Inflammation, mainly in the larger muscles of my body. Neck/Spine/Upper and Lower-Legs). The Inflammation caused Anemia, that led to Blood-Poisoning. Antibiotics cured the poisoning eventually, but as a result of red and white-blood cells, not at it's 'best' behavior-due to MS..the slightest Bacterial or Viral infection can be fatal for me. Extra Vit B1/B6 and B12 was prescribed. To date it seems to help with infections. But the muscle inflammation keeps on progressing. Although Prednisone now works best for pain and slow down the inflammation, temporary loss of ligament-movements started to set in. Doesn't last long at times. 1 to 5 hours sometimes. The pain in my eye is now very seldom.Muscle pain is constant, but Prednisone and Lioresal, brings it down to about 20% (that's okay for me). Consider to upgrade your daily intake of Iron and especially Vit B1+12, with Red meat and GREEN-leaf vegetables. All the best to you and keep your Faith on this illness ahead friend.
