Yellow round pill with 271 on one side and half moon on the other. Found this while cleaning out a house and wondering what it is? ## Extended release morphine sulfate 30mg. They must be new. I can't find them anywhere. I just had a second back surgery, and I'd swear that these don't work as well. I was looking to see if the pharmacy made a mistake, but that is what they gave me this time. ## I have a yellow pills that have 271 round and the other side had a moon on it please help me what is this ## Unfortunately I haven't been able to verify whether or not these actually contain morphine sulfate 30mg. However, I do recall that Actavis Pharmaceuticals is known for putting a half moon logo on their tablets. So the description sounds to me like something they may have manu...

I've been on 5, 30mg of Roxy's daily for about 4 to 5 years now, the problem, I am getting worried the time is going to come where I can't get them. I keep hearing stories about shortage and the price doubled, the last 2 months. These meds work for me and I am able to have a fairly normal life. I am not able to work any longer (Master Cosmetologist), which I hate, but after 2 failed back surgery's, I feel lucky, that I can at least enjoy my Grandchildren and my 3 Maltese Pups. Is there a medication out there that works like the Roxy's but a different med. I have tried morphine and MS Cotten and they didn't work on my pain like the Roxy's. I go back to my Doctor next week and would love to change meds. Any suggestions are for sure appreciated. ## I sure would ...

Peach colored round tablet with 311 on one side & half moon on the other. Is this morphine 60mg er? Looking for generic 60 mg morphine er. The tablets mfg by Watson, Rhodes Pharmaceutical & Actavis do not work for me. I'm trying to help my pharmacist find something comparable in price. Endo has an oblong tablet with 60 on one side & E 655 on the other that works for me. Rhodes Pharmaceutical tablets are not consistent. Watson & Actavis has the same imprint so I gather it is the same tablet. ## This tablet contains Morphine ER 60mgs (NDC 00228-4311 ). My husband has cancer stage 4. His Dr has prescribed him morphine sulfate 1 pill every 12 hrs & Oxycodone 1 pill every 4 hrs. How many pills should he be taking per day (in a 24 hr period) & how many pills of each should be prescribed for a month? ## I work in a pharmacy and we would calculate it as follows: Morphine - 1 every 12 hours for a total day supply of 2, quantity for a 30 day supply would be 60 Oxycodone - 1 every 4 hours for a total day supply of 6, quantity for a 30 day supply would be 180 ## Thank you for the clarification! ## My interpretation which is not official check w/your doctor - after all they scripted them 1 every 12 hours take one after getting up say you get up @ 7 take meds @ 8am then take another @ 8pm 4 hour say you sleep from midnite till 7 ..... one...

I am moving to San Diego in a month or so and am prescribed morphine sulfate 2 times daily for spinal stenosis and degenerative disk disease and I'm afraid that I will have a hard time finding a doctor that will continue my treatment.I am also on flexeril, gabapentin and another med for depression.I have contacted a few doctors out there but no one seems to be willing to continue the treatment I now receive. I am a chronic pain patient with a Legitimate Condition and tired of being treated like a drug abuser because of people that DO abuse meds like this one! I've also ran the gambit of Pain Management clinics that seem to only want to inject steroids in your spine & also physical therapy and you name it. The med regiment I'm on now, work perfectly & I'm told by ...

Is it just me or has ANYONE else had an issue with Rhodes morphine not working!!?? I've tried a couple different ways to get the most out of these and no matter what I do it ultimately does nothing for my pain. I barely felt like I took some Aspirin or Ibuprofen!! Like REALLY WTF!!!!! It can't just be me I'd like to know if ANYONE else has had this problem. I can't be the only one. Now I remember back in the day I took 2 x 100mg RED Oblong ones and got great relief and that always stuck with me that when the time came and needed to be on a high dose that would be a go to. I've asked my pharmacy to obtain a different brand and they said that's all they could get and they were charging me 260 bucks for 30 of them. So after a few months of getting ripped off I went ...

Is this really good for my back? What else is it good for? What is the average price for a prescription to be filled? ## I can't really tell you if this will help you or not. Pain medications can affect everyone differently, whereas some people get great results from taking it, but there are others that it just doesn't work for. Unfortunately, the only way to find out is to actually try it. To answer your other question, Morphine is a narcotic pain reliever used to treat moderate to severe pain. I wouldn't suggest trying to use it for any other purpose outside of that. Did your doctor just give you a prescription for it without saying a word? ## I have stage 4 cancer I've been taking Vicodin 500 mg 6 times a day now I switch to 15 mg of morphine and I feel horrible don...

My pain Dr.had me on 30mg. of morphine sulfate 3 times per day & switched me to 50 mcg. Fentanyl patches at 1 every 3 days. The morphine was keeping me up at night & did'nt seem to ease the pain.Second day on the patch & it does'nt stop the pain either any suggestions will be truely appreciated..Thanx ## I don't have an exact answer to your question, since everyone responds differently to both of these medications (based on tolerance, etc). However, according to numerous articles, Fentanyl is said to be approximately 100 times more potent than Morphine, with 100 micrograms of Fentanyl approximately equivalent to 10 mg of Morphine in analgesic activity (or in regards to pain relief). I hope this information helps! ## You need to give it a little time. I am on 75 ev...

My son passed away and the toxicolgy report just says what was in his blood was morphine and urine was codeine. Please someone tell me what that means. What was it that my son took. I do not understand these things and I hoenstly do not know what my son took that took his life. Can anyone answer this question with an idea of what it was or a fact of what it was? ## Both Morphine and Codeine are narcotic pain medications and neither is present coupled with the other in any medication, so he would have had to take them both separately. Morphine is available by itself, in several formulations, there is a time release product called MS Contin, the regular release and an instant release. Codeine is available as a regular release formulation, by itself, as well as coupled with Acetaminophen i...

I've been hospitalized 4 times between Feb./Mar. this year. I was taking morphine 15mg for maybe 2 weeks before this, I was having hallucinations each time. Doctors told me it was due to UTI s and any bacterial infections. I had 1 infection because of an IV in my leg. Can you explain to me if that's right or not? Thank you so much. ## My guess is that it’s more likely that you were hallucinating from the infections. It sounds like you were septic, (the infection had spread throughout your body), and quite seriously Ill from those infections. Morphine is quite often given in those situations because the patient can be in a great deal of pain. The morphine may have played a part in your hallucinations, but I’m betting it was more from your being so seriously ill. When ...

I have been on morphine for about a year taking 100mg a day. I got 4 subs. If I take those 4 sub's will I not go through withdrawals or should I brake them up in half to make it 8 days of half a sub a day. I'm out of money and can't go to a doctor. I want to end this nightmare. Can anyone help me through this. ## Hello, Mike! How are you? You can't take Subutex, until you are in full withdrawal, otherwise, it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What dosage do you have? It's hard to provide you with more information, without the specific details. ## Thanks for the ...

Is 300 mg of morphine sulfate enough to kill someone? ## If they are not used to taking it, so they do not have a tolerance to it, then yes, it can possibly do so. However, if they take it regularly and are used to high doses and have gradually built up to that, then no, their bodies can tolerate it. Many people suffering fatal conditions, such as cancer, are given even higher doses, because they have gotten to used to narcotics. Is there anything else I can help with? ## chronic pain ## have high tolerance ## Can 300 milligrams kill someone who has never taken morphine

Hello. I'm 29, a mother of two with Crohn's disease, and a former soldier. Last thing we tried is a Morphine pump at 0.4998 a day and not even that is helping the pain. I don't know why my body just not reacting and life is been especially miserable. I found a pain management doctor in the other side of Virginia and even when I explain the morphine pump is not helping they blew me off. At this point my pcm is compassionate enough to help me out with steroids and other stuff for pain but I feel like I'm broken or something. Now I live in Richmond, VA and I would like to find a doctor that can understand my pain and just help me to have a better lifetime. I want to be able to deal with my kids, which now is pretty much impossible. I feel like I'm alone and some doctors...

I found a purple capsule with A 185 imprinted on it in the back of my car. My sons friend was back there and I want to know what it is? ## A purple capsule with A 185 imprinted on it is Trimethobenzamide Hydrochloride 300 mg. Trimethobenzamide (trade names Tebamide, Tigan) is an antiemetic used to prevent nausea and vomiting. ## TRIMETHOBENZAMIDE 300 MG CAP Trimethobenzamide is used for the control of nausea and vomiting, including the treatment of postoperative nausea and vomiting, and also is used for the treatment of nausea associated with gastroenteritis. The drug is less effective as an antiemetic than phenothiazines, but may be associated with fewer adverse effects than phenothiazine therapy. When vomiting is severe and potentially hazardous and may likely be of short duration, ...

What's the difference between Morphine sulfate ER, CR, and SR. I am on Oxycontin and want to change to the generic form. ## Whats the differances between morphine sulfate er, cr, and sr. Thanks I am on oxycontin and want to change to one that has a generic, since oxy is nolonger thk Richard ## There is no difference, each abbreviation that you listed is simply a different way of denoting that the Morphine in that particular pill is in a time released formulation. ER stands for extended release, CR stands for controlled release, and SR stands for sustained release. You may see some others used, as well, such as XR, TR, LA, SA, and etc. Unfortunately, the pharmaceutical industry doesn't have any one universal abbreviation that they use to designate it, so some manufacturers base i...
