Morphine Sulfate Er Dosage Question.

I ran out of percocet 10mg for breakthrough pain due to insurance problems. The soonest I can get a refill will be in 2 days. I take Morphine Sulfate ER 30mg every 12 hours. My question is, how much additional morphine could I take over the next 2 days to compensate for not having the percocet for breakthrough pain. I sufer from chronic pain.

How many Percocet do you take daily?

It would best not to change your dose of Morphine, with your doctor's approval. However, without knowing your total dose of Percocet, I can't give you even a basic comparison to help.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
