I need to know the side effects of Morphine Sulfate 60mg taken twice a day.

I posted below what appears to be a complete list of Morphine's potential side effects:

dizziness
lightheadedness
drowsiness
nausea
vomiting
constipation
diarrhea
loss of appetite
weight loss
changes in ability to taste food
dry mouth
sweating
weakness
headache
agitation
nervousness
mood changes
confusion
difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
stiff muscles
shaking of a part of your body that you cannot control
double vision
red eyes
small pupils (black circles in the middle of the eyes
eye movements that you cannot control
chills
flu symptoms
decreased sexual desire or ability
difficulty urinating or pain when urinating
slow, shallow, or irregular breathing
blue or purple color to the skin
fast or slow heartbeat
seizures
hallucinations (seeing things or hearing voices that do not exist)
blurred vision
fainting
hives
rash
itching
tightness in the throat
difficulty swallowing
swelling of the arms, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs

Wow, thanks so much. Why do you suppose my Dr. is being an a**hole, when I told him that the morphine sulfate caused severe projectile vomiting. He makes me feel like I'm bad for telling him I had such a bad reaction, like I am not thankful, for all he HAS done for me. As I read through the list, I have many more side effects. I haven't slept in 2 nights. Last night I had a severe case of restless legs. Sweating, blurred vision, severe swelling in my legs and ankles, double vision, chills. And serious agitation. Everyone is pissing me off.

Thats what I take after 2 years of daily opiate use and it doesn't do much to me anymore. I still get constipated is about all. So I take a 1/2 cap of generic Miralax every day or so and I'm good. If your not used to opiates they definitely can make you feel sick. That should pass though, why your Dr. would act like that idk My present Dr is also a jerk if that makes you feel better. If it's really bad you can cut your pills in half and just take the one a day I know they say not too but I haven't seen that it matters. I doubt I'd mention it to your Dr though.

I was on Kadin for years which are 24 hour release, then they changed it to Morphine Sulfate Tablets. They say it's the same as the other which where capsule? But it seems to work different? and I didn't know if it was safe to break in half or not? Or if it was 24 hour relieve too?Doe's anyone know these question answers?

I took morphine 60mg twice daily for 8 months. It made me throw up, and I felt nauseous most of the time. If you are sick, it doesn't get better. And it hardly gives much pain relief. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
