More Testing? Why Not Scan Left Side?

My Dr (Mueller) gave me an ultrasound on my right side and it showed fatty liver going down to pancreas and a cyst on my right kidney. He refuses to give me a scan on my left side. I am thinking of switching Dr's fast. Is that a good idea and what should I be doing for proactive care? I am on a diet and exercise as much as I can.

Hi Sandy,

Sorry to hear about your situation. Has this doctor given you any reasons or feedback as to why it may not be a good idea to scan your left side? Or is it out of sheer unethical behavior? Your answer to this question will affect whether or not someone advises you to switch doctors. Maybe he had a good reason? Maybe he didn't? Is he willing to explain his position?

As far as proactive care is concerned, I'm surprised that the doctor didn't offer any thoughts or recommendations. In my opinion, eating clean and exercising as you're already doing is probably one of, if not, the single most important things one can do (proactively) for a fatty liver. So I'd just say keep up the great work and continue to make good choices for your health and longevity.

God Bless you for your accurate reply. i am going to the medical records office at CentraCare here in St.Cloud MN because an incompetent nurse has my information wrong i amreporting allot of things that are scaring me. this hospital has a bad reputation.The DR gave no advice. i am seeing hisPA Tuesday and will request ascan on left side and maybe lood test for Renal? this has been put off by Julie Johnson director of Health Partners as she let me get dehydrated and low in potassium for several years. my spine also has dehydration. then another Dr Halstrum got me an MRI of back and neck and kidney cyst showed up he never gave advice or a scan either. that is why I switched Dr to present one and delay and putting off and innaccurate information on my personal records. that is why I always get my personal Dr and nurse notes not the paper they give you or my chart. dig deeper for the truth and it will flush itself out. i have had some really bad experiences as Julie Johnson loaded me up on metoprolol200mglosartan125 25 morphineoxycodonestomachmedsand and must have got Dr Kraft involved as he is a GIdoctor that prescribed somekind of depression or anxiety drug with horrible side effects. i told her I wouldnt take them as creepy side effects and I was not depressed and opt for herbal . i actually turned the pills into her and she got up and walked out of room. i said something about dangerous doctors. then she walked back in like nothing had happened sort of Jekly and Hyde syndrome. i was getting fed up with meds and she would not change as I am told they get 20% of profits from prescripts. i am now on mostly all herbal except for synthroid and loratadine and a potassium pill tumeric vallerian etc before I got off all those meds I was going septic and weekend of 911 they wanted to clear out hospitalnot enough room. they did not know what was wrong with me/ i had facial swelling incontinence unusual crying and had ice packs on my head all night they said Mellissa Chapman How about putting her in a mental institute?Before I got up to the room I had burning urine and they were sticking tubes up my private part and they were wondering why I was so upset. aDrMercuri and his male nurse said If you do not shutup I can give you a shot that your brain will never recover from i was mostly complaing about too many prescriptions and it was making me sick.1 month later as my mom and sistwers and I said No to a mental institute I got leg cellulitus 103 fever dehydration low in potassium. i got allergic to metal hardware and got hit by a van on same leg and those wounds wont heal and gets infectedMy old sinus Dr Cragle left a viral infection go along with Midwest Clinic Of dermatology and other Dr and I got facial neck eyesocket cellulitus and was in hospital and they would not give me an IV drip.So I have been worried about what further damage to kidney and liver that did? there is also an IV shortage thanks for letting me vent i am a little scared. i am almost out of time at library thanks again

The abuse has been reported . i finally got a left scan,but they told me i couldnt drink any water for too many hours which was wrong as i have a dehydration problem and cyst on kidney. i understood the fasting ,but wter should have been allowed i reported it i ws told there was some deceit going on by PA kissinger and the one who did the test. sounds too political for me so I got another Dr. and I think I finally have a good Dr. i will request a full abd with bladder in 6 months. did not get the written radiology and notes from PA yet.I checked on proper procedure of ultrasounds which was helpful and i think it was not accurate enough. why all the bother I do not know dealing with peoples health and lives is no laughing matter
