I was prescribed Mobic and plaquenil about a month ago. I ran out of Mobic a couple of days ago...I now have a rash that has taken over my body. Plaquenil can have a side effect of a rash...maybe I am just now getting the rash, now that it has had time to build up in my body? I am wondering if the Mobic drug helped to set off the side effect of rash when taking plaquenil or if that was a coincidence? Or perhaps the rash is caused by something else all together? ## Hello, Lanne! How are you? It is hard to say with certainty, though it could still be the Plaquenil, because some side effects may take 4 or more weeks to appear, once it reaches its full efficacy level in your body. It would be best to have it checked out to be sure. Are you on any other medications?

If I take a 7.5mg Mobic with the V 4212 and it doesn't help the pain then can I take Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen / Lortab on top of it or would that be dangerous? ## Hello, Bree! How are you? Mobic is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so you really shouldn't add more of them, like the Ibuprofen, without your doctor's approval. If it and the muscle relaxant aren't alleviating your pain, you should inform your doctor to see what they suggest you do. Is there anything else I can help with?

I took mobic for back pain due to herniated disc and it worked great. I was able to move and work. It also helped the psoriatic arthritis that I had. It enabled me to move my fingers. The only problem is my liver function tests elevated so Now I have to stop it. I wish they could make a medication with the benefits, but without all of the risk of side effects. ## Unfortunately, that's not likely to ever happen, because such is the very nature and risks associated with adding a chemical to the human body to try to achieve some desired result. Our bodies react to everything, even the addition of a cup of coffee with certain side effects, some are just more harsh and dangerous than others when it comes to adding foreign substances. What you really have to do is try various medications ...

I have been on Mobic, but the pain does not go away. I had an epidural, but pain still there. It seems the Mobic and the epidural are not sufficient.
