I have been taking this medication for 7 days and off of it since a week and still have severe side effects, abdominal cramps, severe headaches, dizziness, unsteadiness... I got two medications this morning metronidazole 500 mg 4 tablets and azithromycin 500 mh 2 tablets. I waited til 7pm to take the azithromycin I took both pills. So now I waited a hour before eating so should I take the metronidazole 4 pills all together while eating my food? Am I supposed to take all the pills I got all in one day? I'm finishing a 7 day, 3 X a day, 500 mg dose of flagyl/metronidazole because I was having pain under the right side of my ribs, abdominal tenderness and I have a lump on the right side of my back which the doc said was muscular. My worst symptoms of the meds were some unsteadiness and abdominal pains (I didn't call my Dr.), now I'm having a few headaches.
