Hello, Rush! How are you?

Yes, it can be taking while menstruating.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and diarrhea.

Is there anything else I can help with?

I still have not had my period and I have been feeling really nauseous and hungry, cramps in my stomach, headache, sore breasts and heavy breathing, feeling weak, etc. Is this related to the medication or can I be pregnant? I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet tho, but me and my bf been having unprotected intercourse for awhile now...

I just got my period today and have to start the Metronidazole gel. Is this safe or should I wait for my period to be over or just a few days?

I started taking the metronidazole 3 days into my period and now that my period is off I'm itching on the inside, and when I take metronidazole after my period I still have spotting on the toilet paper. Please advise.
