Metoprolol Er Sleep Side Effects

I have been taking Lexapro for the last 10 months. I have recently stopped. This week I feel very light headed, dizzy and absolutley exhausted.
I am having difficulty sleeping also. I have had a pretty busy week as I work and I have a daughter of 18 months to look after also. Can you advise me of a course of action please?

Have you consulted your doctor? Why did you stop taking the Lexapro?

It contains the active ingredient Escitalopram, which is an SSRI antidepressant and, after taking it continuously for that long, a sudden cessation will normally result in some withdrawal symptoms and rebound effects, because your body has gotten used to having it.

Usually these medications need to be tapered, over a period of time, to help prevent the worst of these problems from occurring.

I was on Metoprolol ER for 3 weeks and hated it. Headaches, nausea, vomiting, rapid heartbeat, dizziness upon standing, constipation, stomach pain. I've been off of it for 2 weeks and still having side effects. Switched back to Atenolol and feel much better.
