Metoprolo Tartrate Side-effects:irregular Heartbeat

I take Metoprolol Tartrate 12.5 Mg twice a day and every time I have my PM dose, within one hour I endure the feeling of an irregular heartbeat or palpatations and panic attacks.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Metoprolol is a beta blocker and it can cause palpitations as a side effect, in some people. However, there are also other things that may cause it, such as too much caffeine, blood pressure and/or heart rate spikes and etc.
