Methylprednisolone 4 Mg 6 Days

My Dr prescribed this to me for hedaches I did not know they were steroids until after I took the 1 dose 2 pills for breakfast and 1 for lunch. I did not finish the fist day dose. I do not want to continue on them however I do not know how to take my self off them please help.

Usually for drugs like this, the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off under a doctor's supervision; if possible. However having only taken the medication for 1-6 days, I almost wonder if you'd even experience withdrawals at all...? None the less, if you are concerned I would definitely encourage you to talk with your doctor about setting up a tapering schedule to ensure that everything goes smoothly. My understanding is that some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a specific amount of time as determined by your doctor until the body is no longer dependent upon them.
