It's a pink oblong pill with 448 on it and some type of logo next to the #'s. No other letters or numbers on it, what other details are needed? Is it a muscle relaxer? ## Is the marking possibly a stylized E with the 448? If so, it is manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, and they list it as containing 800mgs of Metaxalone, which is a muscle relaxant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, and dry mouth.

If your doc prescribed these for you in his medical judgement, he believes the benefits outweigh the risks of any serious adverse effects. In my experience they produce far less side effects then other drugs in this class. I hope this helps some and I hope you feel better soon. ## Rose, I'm sure you'll be fine they won't produce any feelings of being high they will strictly aide in your muscle stiffness. They won...

Pink pill oblong shape cut in half with markings of 48 on one side. Pill is oblong and pink but is cut in half and has numbers 48 on back and it's smooth on other side ## Hello, Justin! How are you? It might be an 800mg Metaxalone tablet that's manufactured by Sandoz Pharmaceuticals, the full marking on it is E448. The FDA classifies it as a muscle relaxant and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. There may be other possible matches, as well. I'll keep looking and post back, if I find more. Does anyone else have any ideas of what this might be?

How long does metaxalone 800mgs remain in ur system?? ## Hello, Gigi! How are you? The FDA classifies this as a muscle relaxant, so it isn't something that is checked for on evaluations, if that's what you're asking. Otherwise, it takes anywhere from 21 to 54 hours. The typical side effects to this medication may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

How long does Metaxalone 800 mg stay in your system? I have to take a drug test. I do have a prescription for it, but I would like to know for future reference. ## Metaxalone is a muscle relaxant, so it is not a drug that is included in standard drug tests. ## Thanks! That's good to know :-) ## U dont have to worry about a muscle relaxers when taking a drug test. U are prob gonna take a 5 panel drug test anyway unless they think you are using drugs or your about to get a job at a fortune 500 company. I only take random 5 panel tests for having a commercial drivers license. Pain killers do not even show up on a 5 panel test either. not even oxycontin. Those are all opioids and only pop on an 8 panel test or an higher panel test. Most all pills leave your system in less then 72 hours....

I HAVE BEEN TAKING METAXALONE, SUBSTITUTE FOR SKELAKIN, WHICH HELPS ME A LOT, HOWEVER IT IS QUITE EXPENSIVE. IS THERE ANY OTHER ALTERNATIVE MEDICATIONS EQUIVALENT TO METAXALONE? ## Hello, Victoria! How are you? What I would actually suggest doing is asking your pharmacist. They would be the best person to consult to find out which one would be cheaper for you. And yes, there are several others available that most likely are cheaper. Is this the only one you've tried?
