With other vitamin supplements ## I can only advise you to discuss it with your doctor. Supplement products are not usually tested for side effects and interactions, as is done with actual prescription medications. So, it would basically come down to what the exact supplements in question contain, because getting too much of some nutrients, such as Potassium and Vitamin B12 can be just as dangerous as not having enough of them. Have you discussed it with your doctor?

skin radish due to iching on body unable to bear . suggest medicine. ## Iching on body causes radish line on skin and after some time it disappears . Is it due to Drug METNAX which i use to take for burning sensation and pain on foot and lower part of knee.I am diabetic since 25 years and 75 years old ## Have you consulted a doctor? They are the only person who would be able to help you get to the root of the problem. It could be caused from the Metanx or something in it, or it could be entirely unrelated and a definitive answer can't be given from just the limited information in a post on the internet. Are you on any other medications?

Is there a cheaper substitute for this? I am a dialysis patient and have some peripheral neuropathy. what is major differences between metnax and neurotin in treatment of neurophy for diabetes....taking neurotin now .... doctor said i should try metnax any comments ? ## Metanx is actually a nutritional supplement and, it can help some people, if their pain is caused or aggravated by a deficiency in the vital nutrients it contains. However, there is no guarantee that it will help you. Neurontin is an actual medication, it contains the anticonvulsant Gabapentin, which has been proven to help with certain types of nerve pain. How has it been working for you?

I recently went & had a EMG & EEG. My Dr. said I had some nerve damage in my legs? My legs jump & twitch on their own? My Dr. said this matanx is a vitamin? Any feedback would be appreciated. ## Metanx contains the active ingredients: L-methylfolate (Metafolin): 2.8 mg Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate: 25 mg Methylcobalamin: 2 mg These B-Vitamins are often given to try to help treat or prevent nerve damage, however, the only way they will help is if that damage was caused by a deficiency in these nutrients. If it was due to an injury, then they will probably not do much. Read more: Are there any comments or questions?
