Is the T MET XL 25 tablet safe for a male whose age is 20 yrs and having BP fluctuations (160/90 to 140/80) for 10-12 days with chest pain...which is diagnosed as muscular pain after doing ECG and 2D-ECHO...?

This contains the active ingredient Metoprolol, which is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure.

It's as safe as any other medication, they all carry risks, but letting your blood pressure continue to rise out of control would be much more risky.

Learn more Metoprolol details here.

Has your doctor instructed you to use it?

Is it ok to abruptly stop taking Met XL which was prescribed to me by doctor for palpitation due to anxiety? Now I am taking anti-anxiety medicine and don't need it. What if I stop taking Met XL 25 after being on it for three months?
