I cannot tell you anything from that desscription, but if you are certain what it is, then I can tell you this is used for nausea, allergic reactions, nervous conditions and etc.

What are side efffects when using meperidine/prometh for pain? This is being used for leg pain due to broken leg in 2005 and hip replacement in 1997.

Tina, I'm pretty sure it's not a blood thinner. Brand name: Mepergan. Meperidine is a narcotic pain reliever. Promethazine is used to relieve nausea and vomiting. This combination medicine is used to relieve moderate to severe pain.

Please double check with your doctor or pharmacist just to make sure. When you do find out, can you please post a definite answer back? I'm also curious to know for sure...
