Menstrual Cycle Has Not Started After Contraceptive

I started taking birth control pills on the second day of my menstruation, and now am waiting for my periods cause its the 3rd day that I am taking the red pills... Thought am suppose to get my periods when i started with the red pills. Is there a chance that I am pregnant?

How soon after starting the tablets did you have unprotected intercourse?

These are hormonal based contraceptives, so they can throw your cycle off a bit for the first few months that you're taking them. You may have irregular bleeding, breakthrough bleeding, periods that come earlier or later, or you may miss one.

Generally, if you go a week or more late, then you should take a pregnancy test.
