Meloxicam And Codeine

I am on Meloxicam for arthritis in my hands and codene for restless legs and pain. Can they be taken close together or how far apart? I have had IBS for 40 yrs. I am 82. Please advise. I take one oxycodone at night when I go to bed and it helps me sleep and kills the pain. Never take more than one. I also take one Meloxicam for arthritis during the day if I'm really bad with my hands. Please advise.

They can be taken together, as long as your doctor approves and has prescribed them both.

The FDA warns that the Codeine carries the risk of being habit forming, you may also experience side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth.

Are you on any other medications?

Doc took me off Meloxicam right away. Said it is a dangerous drug especially for older people.
She put me on steroids for my hands and took x rays and blood work. She took X-rays and blood work . When I went back she said I had arthritis with calcium deposits and could be any joint in my body. . She gave me a prescription for it and said to only use it if I was in severe pain. It's not a good drug either.still taking ocycodone for my restless legs every nite 1 5mg, pill. It helps my legs a lot so she said to continue taking them..
