This is not an actual medication, it is a vitamin supplement. As such, while it is commonly given, in some countries, to help with certain types of nerve pain, it will really only help if a deficiency in them has been contributing to the pain.

If someone's pain has been caused by an injury of some sort, then it really cannot be counted on to reliably help them.
