Medrol 4mg For 15 Days Caused Delayed Period

im trying to conceive and doctor advice me to take medrol once a day from CD 15 til next period. Im on my 3rd day over due. Im sure im not pregnant cause i dont have any signs and symptoms. Im worried about thie side effects of medrol for menstrual irregularities. Until when should i wait for my period? What medicine should i take to hAve my periods back? Pls help.
