i consulted a doctor(md,fccp) for symptoms that indicated HYPOYHYROIDISM.the blood report(t3,t4,tsh) was normal.i was prescribed capsules of Mecobalamin Alpha Lipoic Acid and vitamins.why? do i have hypothyroidism?

Hypothyroidism (an underactive thyroid) is when your thyroid doesn't produce enough hormones. The balance of chemical reactions in your body can be upset. There can be a number of causes, including autoimmune disease, treatment for hyperthyroidism, radiation therapy, thyroid surgery and certain medications.

I'm not a doctor, so I wouldn't know why "you" have hypothyroidism, however, I would recommend taking a look at the link below to view some of the primary causes of an under active thyroid:

I hope you find the information in that link helpful! Also, if you're going to take measures to treat this condition, I highly urge you to go the natural route instead of prescription drugs, just so you don't irritate the condition with extra side effects.
