Hello, Sly! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain.

Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's commonly used to treat pain, fever and swelling, thus, you should be able to take it, as long as your doctor has prescribed it and approves.

Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation.

Is there anything else I can help with?

Thanks for your very helpful tesponses Verwon.
I have been on meloxicam for three weeks now and from the very first dose pain from my osteoarthritis iny hips was greatly reduced. I halved the 15 mg dose for two days but the night tr pain media tell returned so I'm back at 15 msg. Very concerned about long term use. Also, can it be creating constipation? What alternatives do you suggest I might try, please?
