Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals

Did Mallinckrodt stop making their methadone,all the pharmacies in Bloomington,Indiana switched to a different company.I have taken the Mallinckrodt brand since they stopped providing the 40mg.methadone wafers to patients.Please help.

no we have then here in NC...methadose(mallinckrodt),the orange 40's(mallinckrodt) and the liquid(mallinckrodt),along with the 5's and 10's

I haven't found any information on their discontinuing it.

That isn't necessarily the reason that any pharmacy switches the one they carry, that is actually due to price, they will usually order from whichever company is offering the cheapest price, at the time they need to restock.

Have you tried asking any of them if they can order it in for you?

I am having the same exact problem. I live in Hollywood. I have been taking the Mallinckrodt methadone 10mgs for several years. Now I'm finding myself in the same predicament. It seems that all the pharmacies in my area, which also consist of Glendale and Burbank, are switching to Roxanne which I absolutely cannot tolerate. I've asked the pharmacies if they could order it for me, and they all give me the same answer that it is no longer available. I'm at a loss what to do. Can anyone assist?
