Are Quinine sulfate capsules used for Lazy Leg Syndrome? ## As an antimyontonic for office use ## I am looking for a price on the 325 mg capsule or tablets for office use in Myotonia Congenita. ## I bought quinine but it's yellowish in color, so I want to ask if there are different types of quinine? ## I've seen Quinine come in the form of a round yellow/orangish colored pill as well as a white/cream colored capsule. That said, to my knowledge, there are different manufacturers of Quinine containing different sets of binders and fillers. Depending on how your body responds to these differences, you may end up preferring one over the other. __________________________ RE: "Are Quinine sulfate capsules used for Lazy Leg Syndrome?" one side smooth and the other G over 1. The pill is round. ## white round pill with G over 1 on one side ## This is another one that I've spent several days checking for, off an on, and have run searches in all of our prescription drug resources, but I am just not locating anything on it. Can you tell me anything else about it? Is the G a capital letter? It it rounded, angular, stylized? Was it found in the U.S.? ## G over 1 white round -could be from europe-was given pills to take while in haiti and cant figure out what this one is-doesnt look like malarone and i think it might just have been a mistake -Haitian pharmacies are a joke-very different from here-didnt want to not finish a prescription if this was just a different brand from some other pill prescribed- ## It is a Kroger ...

Learn more: Are there any other questions? ## Watson 698 200 does this make you high like hydrocodone? ## No, it does not make you high. It makes you feel mostly like crap from it's side effects. I suffer from lyme disease and Babeseosis. I have already reached my limit from the insurance company and the medication will now cost me over 1200.00 per month. Can I get help with the mepron and the azithromycin 250mg tabs 2 per day? ## Mepron contains the active ingredient Atovaquone and is often used with the antibiotic Azithromycin to treat Babesia, when other medications haven't been successful. AS to assistance, what country are you in? There are assistance programs in many countries, but only for name brand medications and people without any insurance coverage. They usually do not provide help if you have some type of coverage. And since the Azithromycin is a generic, there is no assistance available for it. Have you tried checking prices at different pharmacies? Perhaps you...

Hi, have been on Hydroxychloroquine for 8 weeks now. My menstrual cycle has become irregular, having 3 periods in the last six weeks. Has anyone had the same impact? What do I do? ## Hello, Peej! How are you? Virtually any medication you take can cause that and there's no way to predict it. The FDA lists its other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, irritability, headache and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I am currently on Purbac. I had my menses for 3 weeks full. I made a decision not to stop as I am booked for a month only. Can I take gout medication (colchesine) and high blood pressure tablets whilst on doxytet treatment to prevent malaria? I'm going on a trip to mozambique. ## Who instructed you to take Doxyet to prevent Malaria? It is not normally used to do so, since Malaria is caused by a parasite, and this is an antibiotic that is used to bacterial infections. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Did your doctor tell you to take this?

I requested 60 pills from Humana. My pharmacy said it would cost me $90... The last time it cost me $18. Why? ## Pharmaceutical prices change, just like the prices on any other product. It's really a matter of supply and demand, there have been changes in the price of many pharmaceuticals, recently. My mother-in-law has to use 2 inhalers regularly, to prevent asthma and breathing issues, one of them has stayed the same price, while the other has gone up from $45 to over $200. The FDA allows a good bit of pricing leeway, while some companies try to keep their prices down, not all of them do. It is a sad state of affairs, which I fear may only get worse over the next few years. I wish I had some way to help you, but unfortunately, I don't. Have you tried asking your doctor if they...

I'm 6wks pregnant and was treated for malaria given quinine 12doses.Also drank some herbal missed with gin . Now my question is my baby safe from deformity? ## Alcohol is never a good idea, while pregnant, in any amount, it could cause fetal alcohol syndrome, according to the NIH, so you need to make sure your doctor is aware that you drank something mixed with gin. As to the use of Quinine during pregnancy, it is the recommended treatment and, according to the U.S. FDA, no risks to the baby have been proven. Are you on any other medications?

I've tried Celebrex and Methotrexate for an autoimmune disorder "suggestive" of Lupus to no avail. I spent 1 1/2 years in constant pain before I knew why every joint (shoulder, elbow, knee, wrist, fingers, ankles, toes and back) in my body hurt, decreased blood count and daily headaches it was awful. Started on Plaquenil and within weeks the pain started to subside. I no longer have joint pain, my blood counts are normal, C3 and C4 (normal), CRP (normal). I feel great, however, I suffer from the worst gas and diarrhea daily. The sad truth is I'll take "the s***s" over that over "s***"....This is my miracle drug. Good Luck and feel better, please ask your Rheumatologist to prescribe as the DMARDS were unsuccessful, and there are no monthly or every other m...

qty 30 how to take atovaq progu tabs 250-100 ## Hello, Angela! How are you? You should take them as directed by your doctor. If you are preventing malaria, it's normally one tablet by mouth daily, starting 1 to 2 days, before going to the area of concern, if it's for treating, then it's normally 4 tablets daily for 3 days. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea and weakness. Is there anything else I can help with?

My son is in India and he was prescribed Lariam. He has taken it for a month and has had lots of side effects. He has stopped taking it about a week ago, but he still has side effects. The strange thing is that they come on like "hot flashes" do, and then they go away, i.e. his forearm goes numb and he has chest pains. I know these are side effects of Lariam, but is it normal that these sensations come and go? ## Hello, Jessie! How is your son doing? That can happen with any side effects, just like when a medication causes headaches, it's not always one long continuous headache, but it tends to hit for awhile, then ease and so on. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly including depression, anxiety and hallucinations. Is there anything else I can help with?

My doctor told me to stop taking Plaquenil until she found the reason for my low white blood count. I've been off of it for about five days now. Do I have to worry about my blood clots since stopping Plaquenil which is a blood thinner? ## Hello, Callie! How are you? This is not a blood thinner, the FDA lists it as being used to treat malaria and rheumatoid arthritis. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, loss of appetite, weight loss and hair loss. What were you taking it to treat?

Hello, I served in the British army from 1988 - 1996, during this time I toured Belize and Kenya. Specifically whilst in Kenya I had a episode where I suffered 2 days + of hot/cold chills, fatigue, vomiting, high temp and skin color of deep yellow. My Staff Sergeant kept me in bed and that was it. Since then, I have had episodes of hot and cold sweats with headaches usually 5-6 months apart and on occasion my skin has again turned yellow over the last 5-6 years possibly more. Last month I donated blood and they have informed me that I have malarial antibodies and cannot donate any more. So, from that limited information that I have, I received the donor letter Thursday. Do I have recurring malaria and if so is there a treatment that you know of in the UK as my doctor says not to worry, ...

My husband takes Hydroxychlor200mg twice a day for his RA. In Aug `14 his cost was $2.14. His refill for this month is $28.50. Why such a big increase???? ## Hello MT! How are you? The price can vary from month to month, depending on supply & demand, insurance coverage, what the pharmacies supplier is charging and etc. However, the only way to get a definitive answer would be to ask your pharmacist. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Hydroxychloroquine as possibly including nausea, dizziness, diarrhea and loss of appetite. Has anyone else seen a sudden price increase for this medication?
