Does anyone know where I can fill a presription for MS Contin 200 in Manhattan? I am having a heck of a time finding this stuff. ## You have got to take it to your pharmacy and have them order it for you first, which means you will have to wait a few days for it to come in. If they do not want to try and find a privately owned pharmacy who usually is more willing to have a new customer. Alot of pharmacies do not want to carry these kinds of meds anymore. Good Luck

i have been taking 60mg ms contin twice a day for 1 month. i go th the doctor 14 hrs after my last dose and it does not show up in urine screen. does anybody else have this problem? any answer? ## There are various factors that can affect it, such as the quality of the test and your own metabolism, your activity levels, your fluid intake and etc. Has your doctor postulated any theories? This is a narcotic, so theoretically, it should be detectable in your urine for 4 to 5 days, after taking it, but to be honest, we've had many posts, recently, from other people that have had the same problem.

Are there any discount coupons you can download to get a more reasonable price for MS CONTIN 30mg.?? ## I have searched quite a few resources and I am sorry, but I am not finding anything, neither coupons nor assistance programs for this medication. This really doesn't surprise me, as it is very hard to find programs for most controlled substances. MS Contin contains the active ingredient Morphine, which is a narcotic analgesic and it is available as a generic. Have you talked to your pharmacy about purchasing the generic, rather than the name brand? As I remember from when I was on it, the price difference was substantial, the name brand was over $300 a month, but it was only around $100 for a month of the generic. My ex was being malicious and called my doctors office telling them I was an addict and questioning how much medication I should be taking (2 or 3) I take MS Contin 60 mg. Two days later, I get a letter from my doctor stating that I was an addict and he was dropping me. I wrote the dr and told him I will bring my pills in so he can count them and give me a drug test however, now the dr won't even call me back. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions? I received a letter from my doctor yesterday telling me that he could no longer be my doctor anymore because I was an addict. My boyfriend was sitting there and acted as shocked as I was by this new development. To make a long story short, I found out that my boyfriend called my doctor's office and how many pills I should be taking 2 or 3 and that I was an addict. i found a small purple pill with 30 on one side and R P H on the other side. Is it generic MS contin??? ## I am sorry, but I can't find a listing for a tablet with this marking in any of my resources. The RPH logo is used by Ratipharm, which is a very large European generic medication manufacturer. Many of their medications are available in Canada. The only morphing listing I can find for the 30mg generic for Ms Contin has a TC 30 on it, but I am not certain if they use the same marking in other countries, or not. I will, however, keep looking. what store has the cheapest price ## I really cannot tell you. It depends on you area, whether you are getting the name brand or the generic and what the store has available. There is no universal price from one pharmacy to the next and it can vary greatly from area to area. Have you tried calling different pharmacies in your area to ask?

im trying to purchase ms contin i have no insurance because i lost my job. i had a spinal fusion/bone graph reconstruction in my lower back. i start pt in 4 weeks/hyrotherapy. anyway i dont know any pharmacies online. I am on 50 mg of Kadian and I am wondering if MS Contin is the same thing. ## yes Kadian is the same drug as MS Contin...it is just a different name given by a different manufacturer...they both are brand names for the generic morphine sulfate. ## Kadian is morphine sulfate, but whereas it is timed to release over 24 hours, MS Contin releases over 12.

So I have these morphine sulfate er 15mg.. I know they're generic for ms contin.. but what I was wondering, if it would be alright to take them, even though the prescription is two years old.. anyone have any insight on this? ## They don't turn dangerous past the expiration date, if that's what asking, however, they can lose effectiveness, so they will not be as potent as they were when newly prescribed. In 2005 I had two disks removed and replacer with cadaver bone, then screws and rods were inserted and connected together to make area rigid. I am on 30mg of MS Contin three times per day, to control constant pain. I HAVE BEEN TAKING 15 MG OF OXYCODONE...1TAB 4XDAY. FOR 2 YRS. DR. CHANGED RX TO MS CONTIN 30MG....1TAB EVERY12 HRS. WONDER WHY? WONDER WHY? ## My guess would be there really is no change, execpt for how many times you take it. Your mg add up to 60, even though your doctor changed your dosage. if my dosage of MS Contin is 15mg, but I only have 30mg -can I cut it in half? ## No, dont cut them they are time released. please dont cut them. ## Ed - Took the words right out of my mouth ! Never cut in half or crush anything that is time released, people have actually died by getting a toxic level. It should be on your bottle of med as a warning-sometimes it might be in the medicine info-if not please call your pharmacy so they can be aware that they forgot such an important detail. It would be awful if it is not on there as there could be others that wouldn't know & it was a new med & only wanted to take half to see how their body reacted to it & might cause a sometimes fatal event. I had been taking MS Contin for 4 years for my back. There was a scare a coupl of weeks back of the manufacture over dosing the pills. so they gave me MS contin er and I started going through withdrawl symptons. i moved from one state where i lived for a long time w/ only one doctor for medication for 15 years. now after 47 surgeries i have taken this drug for over a year at 30 mgs x 2now now doctor will give me even w/ doctor record w/ pharmacy records. i cut back to 1 a day but the pain is bad in my back. i can not get a referral to a ortho for a evulation. how can i cut back more w/out having major issues? the doctors will not let me have soma or even ambin either!! i tried 3 different primaries before being locked into this doctor. no referral to a rumatolist or neurologist either.
