Lyrica Problems From Drug

I have been taking Lyrica for several months now and have many side effects from this drug. I have gained 10-15lbs, have severe memory loss..simple word finding is difficult.. I have had major hair loss (clumps of hair falling out when wash my hair) and worst of all can not have orgasm because of this drug!!! I am titrating down now becuase side effects are not worth the minimal pain relief I am getting from this drug for fibromyalgia!

Hello, Kelly! How are you? I am very sorry about the problems that you're having.

Similar things have happened to others that have taken Lyrica. However, I do want to caution you to be very careful, when tapering off of it, because stopping abruptly could create the risk of seizures.

I am a male who has had a full head of hair all my life. I was taking Lyrica for about 3 months and the last few weeks noticed my hair thinning in the front. I googled Lyrica and hair loss and my hairy (what I have left) literally stood on end. I filed a complaint with pfizer. They are not going to include hair loss as a possible side effect because their profits would plumet. I thought what the hell is happening to my hair. I only take (used to) Lyrica so it was easy to deduct. A warning for everyone. I google EVERY Med for me or my dog before I take anything but since hair loss was not listed as a possible side effect to Lyrica, I was happy until I noticed my hair loss and started to dig further!

As I posted before ; I have always had a full thick head of hair. I am a 70 yr old male .
After approx 3 months of taking 600 mg per day ( the safe recommended dose ) I noticed my hair thinning in the front and top of my head . I was very upset and the only other med I take is for cholesterol and have been on that for 17 years . So I googled ' Lyrica Hair Loss'
and so many people have complained to have had the same problem . I had no other side effects .
Needless to say I stopped taking Lyrica and filed a complaint with Phizer the drug maker !
I received a letter/form from them and filled it out and sent it back . I don't think Phizer will put the possible side effect of hair loss on the Lyrica label as it would drastically drop their profits of this very expensive drug !
