Lyrica Worked For Pain Relief

Updated

My doctor subscribed Lyrica for my RSD (CRPS) 10 mos ago. I had shoulder rotator cuff repair, clavider bone removed last May. 4 or 5 nerve blocks; and carpal tunnel surgery this past Jan. (Lots of pain). It works wonders for my severe pain. Does have side effect for weight gain, but that's ok for me since I have a small frame. It relieves my pain. I am not able to work, but I do get great pain relief. I take 600mg a day.

Lyrica is not actually a pain killer, it is an anticonvulsant that is also used to treat some types of nerve pain, and some mood disorders.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, and weight changes.

Mark, how are you, now? Has there been any change? Are these the only medications you are currently taking?
