Loss Of Libido On Trigestrel

Updated

Hey I'm on trigestrel pills. I started last week and now I have lost my libido and interest in engaging in intimacy. I previously enjoyed intimate moments every time. Is it the pills? What must I do? Please help.

Yes, these are hormonal contraceptives, so they can that as a side effect in some women that take it, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, headache, dizziness, spotting and PMS-like symptoms.

Usually, such side effects are transient and go away, once your body gets used to the medication, but it may take a few months.

However, you should consult your doctor, as you may be better off trying a different medication.

Is there anything else I can help with?
