Losartan Side Effects (Page 2)

SInce being switched from lisinipril 20 mg to Losartan Pot 50 mg about three months ago I have gained 12 pounds and always feel hungry. I also feel jittery. Could this be a side effect of Losartan Pot?

I i've never been constipated in my life and ever since I've been on losartan and even took out the HCTZ I am so constipated and nothing works it's like I have a total slow motility I don't know what to do anymore. It just seems like coincidence that I've never had this before the drug has anyone else experienced chronic constipation on losartan?

I'm Type 1 diabetic and have been on 100mg Losartan for many years. Recently my blood pressure has been running 150/100. I take Gen Crestor and my cholesterol is great. Am I still able to speed walk or jog? Are my blood sugars ok?

I've been on a low dose of Losartan for two weeks. I have crippling pain in the ball of my left foot and toes when walking. Also pink hands with puffiness, severe joint pain and pinprick pain.

Hi. Thanks God my dr changed my bp tablet from Losec (losartin) to Prexum Plus 5mg I am a different person. No more weight gaining , no more joint pains, no more frequent urination. My headaches are gone and my bp is soo normal. Please people Losec is poison. Take note of your body crying out to you for help. BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN YOUR BODY. There's more to life than Losec . Go and speak to your dr about it's side effects or research about it's ingredients and decide for yourself. I did and seven months down (without Losec) I am a new person. Hope this advice can help someone. Regards .... Sue

You're post was in 2013 but i wonder how you are now. I have determined that my losartan is causing me severe muscle and joint pain and just stopped it a few days ago. Any advice to getting better?

Hi, I was on a diuretic for years for my blood pressure but it wasn't effective enough, so this was changed to Ramipril a couple of months ago but I had bad side effects so it was changed once again to Losartan. After three weeks on this med the side effects were unbearable so my Dr changed me back to a diuretic. Whilst on Losartan I was experiencing terrible dizziness upon getting up from bed, really bad. This only started happening in the third week. Now my blood pressure, although within normal range, is higher standing than sitting down. Dr not concerned. I'm hoping that once these meds have left my system things will return to normal. Can anyone relate? Thanks.
