Losartan Oval

I also am taking losartan 100 mg, and for about a month having side effects. Walgreen's always gave me the round pill, but now it's the long oval with13 on it. Why the change? What can I do about it. The pharmacist said they dispense whatever comes in. Are they from different pharmaceutical companies? They can't give me a straight answer!

Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Virtus Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 100mgs of Losartan, so it is just manufactured by a different company.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.

Hi.too am having the exact same issue.I ended up in the ER with severe dizziness and nausea.I was doing extremely well on the little white pill till the pharmacists at walgreens said they switched to a different manufacturer and gave me thid one witch is bigger and thr markungs 111...How can i switch back to the previous one that was working so well for me....i am feeling immobilized

I have the opposite in my Losartan pills. Was getting 50 mg, long oval white. Last 2 refills the pills are round, like a big aspirin. I feel different on it. My bp is going all over the place.

I was taking 150 Losartan. 1 100 mg and 1 50 mg. both were oval. The 100 is blue and the 50 is white. They switched the 50 to a round tablet and my blood pressure wouldn't stabilize. I was so fed up, I asked for brand, Cozar, and paid $130 out of pocket. And the most amazing thing happened. All I need is 50 mg. when I took the 150mg. With the brand, my bp bottomed out to 90/60. With the 50 mg brand,my bp is stable, 118/74.
