Is this a generic drug,I looked it up and couldn't find it,what does this drug come from, because i was looking up side affect for this. thank you ## Are you talking about Lorcet a narcotic pain killer? If so, Lorcet is actually a brand name medication for the chemical combo of Hydrocodone & Acetaminophen. Hope this helps ## The information that Speedo posted is correct, Lorcet contains Acetaminophen, and Hydrocodone, but here is nothing listed under the name G-Lorcet. The FDA warns that Lorcet carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Whats the difference between loricet and loritab? ## Those are 2 different drug names with the same active ingredients. They both contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so they are basically the same. Narcotic pain killers. ## Actually the amount of ingredient has nothing to do with the name of the drug whatsoever. The name just varies according to who manufactured it, you will also find it listed under straight generic names with no proprietary name at all. They all contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. ## Ever seen a Vicodin 10/650 or a Lorcet 5/500? Neither have I. And I’ve also never seen a Sackler in prison but that notwithstanding doesn’t mean it’s not possible...

I am seeking a pain dr. in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma or surrounding area that does not treat patients as criminals for needing pain meds. Broke neck in 2007 has left lasting pain in several areas of body. The pain is always with me and is unbearable at times. Our family Dr. has notified his patients he will not be giving prescriptions for pain meds any longer due to strict guidelines and clinic board complaints. ## I have heard may Drs refer to pain-laden patients as SEEKERS. THIS IS DEGRADING AND SAD. Not all patients looking for pain meds are suffering from unbearable pain; BUT, after a patient divulges what I call "PROOF OF PAIN" with numerous testing (x-rays, mri, ct scans, results-etc) and trust their chosen physician with all pertinent information to be legally and rightfull...

I believe that a dear friend of mine is possibly addicted to Vicodin. Probably it is really hard for her to just come off it, but maybe by switching to another med or weening off is the thing to do. I notice that Lorcet also has Hydrocodone in it, but maybe it is not as addicting as Vicodin? Do you think that maybe by starting on this drug instead she can start to come down off the habit? If anybody could offer any information I would appreciate it. Thanks, Ingrid ## Ingrid, please note that Lorcet is essentially the same drug as Vicodin, but with a different name. If your friend is really addicted to Vicodin then it is imperative that she seek medical assistance. Withdrawals from narcotics are said to be very unpleasant experiences! blue pill ## I was wondering if anyone knows What other pain medication has the same inactive ingredients as brand lorcet 10/650? I'm trying to find out if Vicodin or norco brand if either have the exact INACTIVE INGREDIENTS. Lorcet has been discontinued and its the only pain med that worked for me so I thought if I could figure out which other pain med has the closest inactive ingredients since all have the same active ingredients this might help. Thanks ## I'm having the same problem!!! I don't understand why they keep messing with things that are working for people!!! First its the dye in them, now its the tylenol. If someone abused them yes l can see it hurting your liver. I would like to know how many cases they have as for their proof so they could change everyone'...

I'm using Percocet right now and they aren't helping me much anymore, would Lorcet be a good pain killer to switch to ? ## it takes 15mgs of perocet to provide the same relief as 10 mgs of hydrocodone ## Percocet contain Oxycodone, and Acetaminophen, while Lorcet contains Hyrocodone with Acetaminophen. Oxycodone is stronger than Hydrocodone, so Lorcet may not work as well for pain, but it can vary from person to person. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. took a drug est to check for lorcet been taking 2 7.5 a day but drug test show up negative for medecine the only thing i did diffent from last time was i been taking vitiamin d could this cause a false test. ## Well, there haven't really been any studies done on supplements and what effect they may have on the levels of a medication in your system, so it's rather difficult to say. However, my best guess would be that it's likely possible, especially if taking the Vitamin D may have had any other effect on your body, such as making your drink more liquids, causing diarrhea or etc. Learn more Vitamin D details here. Other lifestyle changes could also play a role, such as increased activity levels. Did they send the sample out to a lab for further testing? ## Yes it was sent ou...

What Is Better: Watson Lorcet 10 Or Norco10/325 - And What's The Difference? ## If the dosage is the same, then the only difference is who has manufactured it. Both contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, the Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Are there any other questions? ## my doctor had me on lorcet 10/650 and change to lorcet 10/325 what's the different are they the same?I had three back surgery ## The only difference is the amount of acetaminophen contained in each pill. The 10/650 dose contains 650 mg's of acetaminophen and the 10/325 dose contains, you guessed it, 325 mg's. He had to switch because the FDA does not allow doses of acetaminophen over 500 mg's per pill, in any pill, w...

color of lorcet 10mg/650mg ## White HYDROCODONE 10/650 ## I have chronic neck pin ## What are the markings on the tablets in question? Can you please post back and clarify? This information is needed in order to provide an accurate answer to your question. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. I also want to note that dosages containing 650mgs of Acetaminophen are no longer available in the U.S.

What is the medication with these markings IP204? ## This tablet contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, this combination could be considered a generic for either one, though many doctors refer to Lorcet as being the product that contains 650mgs of the Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic pain reliever, so it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with? ## My apologies, it's been one of those mornings. Lorcet would actually contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so the tablet you were asking about would be a generic for Percocet, because it contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen. ## which is considered a stronger medication overall, Lorecet or Norco? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. Michelle, was the marking possibly WATSON 780? If so, it contains 1mg of Sucaralfate, which is used to help treat GI tract issues. The FDA lists its side effects as possibly nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach pain.

My generic lorcet {Watson 503} have always been pale green. My refill, which is the same medication {strength, shape and mfg.}, but they are white and I believe they had a different imprint. For years I've been legitimately prescribed this medication for pain managment after a Cage was put in my lower back due to degenerative disc disease~surgery was unsucessful for pain relief. Thank You in advance for any information...Peace ## Without knowing the imprint on them, I can't check them for you, to see if they are the same medication or not. However, what I can tell you is that it may be just the color that has changed. Watson has recently begun removing the dye from some of their tablets, due to the fact that it was causing sensitivities in some people and there were some who wer...

I heard that they are going to stop making the lorcet 10mg. Is there any truth to this? ## Hello, Lauren! How are you? Not that I'm aware of, I've not seen anything stating such. They did, however, change it to a schedule 2 medication at the beginning of October, so it can no longer have refills. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. They did discontinue the ones with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen in them, due to the risks associated with its overdose, so you can only get dosages with a maximum of 325mgs per. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was taken off lortab10/650 and give the lortab 10/325.since then I have felt really bad..sleepy.no energy etc.has anyone else had a problem like this? ## This isn't as potent, since it has the lower dose of Acetaminophen in it, so you may be experiencing some minor withdrawal symptoms. How long have you been taking the new dose? Your body will usually adjust after a week or two.

May be quite old. In an 20 yr old old Lorcet bottle I had after dental surgery, but think I was just using that for storage. Afraid to throw out without knowing what is. Only 2 pills. ## Correction A-C on one side rPr stylized on other side ## Hello, Jeanne! How are you? I'm sorry, but I haven't been able to find anything that matches this description. However, if they are that old, that likely explains it, they probably aren't available, anymore. The best thing to do would be to just dispose of them. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks so much. I called my pharmacist and asked how to dispose of it. Glad we have cats. ;). Appreciate your help and answering my post.

I have fibromyalgia and take many meds, but the ones I seem to need the most are the pain meds, i.e. Lorcet. My doctor is like so many I read about here and afraid to give me too many but I do not know how to deal with the pain without them. What is the difference between Watson white 10 / 650 and the green Watson 10 / 650? ## The first notable difference is that Watson 825 contains oxycodone hydrochloride, while Watson 503 contains oxycodone bitartrate. I'm assuming that this is what effects the overall absorption rate of the drug itself. Another difference is that each of these pills contain a different composition of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that may also have an impact on how efficiently the drug is metabolized. In addition to that, both of these tablets are generic versions. The FDA permits generic meds to contain up to 20% more or less of the actual active ingredient. So if one tablet has -20% and the other has +20%, that's a 40% difference in dosages; and for some people this probably feels equi...

taking 10/650 what is next ## If this does not work for pain control you may need to move onto oxycodone or brand name Roxicet, Percocet. They are usually next in line. If those don't work then onto morphine, oxycontin, or something like the duragesic patch. ## Yes, nenene is correct, that is the highest you can get in these types of drugs, unless you happen to live in an area that has a druggist who still does compounding, then your doctor can request that they make you capsules in a higher strength, but there are very druggists left that do that, so they are very hard to find. ## Thanks FDA for screwing up My Life I had no problems at all with the blue m361 hydocodone I have chronic back pain don't understand why u couldn'tjust put a warning label on if it bothers some peo...

Can u tell me if oxycontin is in Lorcet.... Thank you.... ## Hello Debbie! How are you? I think you're confusing several different medications, so I'll try to clear this up for you. :-) Oxycontin contains the active ingredient Oxycodone in a time released formulation, so that is the only active ingredient in it. Regular release Oxycodone is used in some others, though, such as Percocet, which contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, or Roxicodne, which just contains the regular release Oxycodone by itself. Learn more Oxycodone details here. And no, Oxycodone is not an ingredient in Lorcet. Lorcet contains the active ingredients Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, so it still contains a narcotic analgesic, but a different one. This medication has the potential to be habit forming and may...
