My mother's Dr. has her on all three meds and she seems dazed and confused now. Has anyone had any experience with this combination ## Well, all medications can cause side effects and sometimes, they can cause a synergistic effect, making each other's side effects worse. Lorazepam is a generic for Ativan, this is a potent Benzodiazepine, it is used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. Very small round white pill with a Cursive R above 59 and on back side a line dividing it in two. What is this pill ? I looked up lorezapam and it doesn't match any pictures of that so if anybody can help please do. ## R 59 is Lorazepam 1 mg, which is used to treat short term anxiety. small white pill with 16 on one side and gg on other and other pill has 240 over 0.5 and watson on otherside,both small white pills. ## GG 91 and Watson 140 0.4 both contain 0.5mgs of Lorazepam, a generic for Ativan. I've had 5 abdominal surgeries (4 of them-scar tissue) since 2005. My surgeon suggested that it (the 1st surgery) could have been caused by taking Lorazepam for panic attacks. Any discussion will be helpful. Thank u ## Upon withdrawal of Lorazepam, there are a number of side effects that can in my opinion, possibly lead to the need for surgery. A few to name are: Stomach cramps, tremor, panic attacks, seizures, vomiting, and many more. I have been taking Lorazepan for a few years and sometimes take half of a 1mg pill. In the past it always tasted a bit bitter, but since my pharmacist changed suppliers, I noticed a sweet taste to it and non of the bitterness. I am wondering if I am really taking Lorazepan. In the past I had taken a similar drug (Diazepam) and it too was on the bitter side. ## I have encountered the same experience as Cari. I also have noted that the lorazepam I use now does not seem to work as well. ## There can be differences among generic drugs and the way they manufacture them. Some places may use a sweet coating on the outside to make taking them easier and some won't.
