Lomefloxacin is used to treat various bacterial infections, such as bronchitis. It is also used to prevent urinary tract infections prior to surgery. Lomefloxacin is associated with phototoxicity and central nervous system adverse effects. Some side effects are: nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, headache, lightheadedness, or drowsiness, ringing in the ears, increased sensitivity of the skin to sunlight.
