On wednesday I realized I was a day behind on my pills. I believe I missed my pill on monday. I doubled my dose on Wednesday. Then on Saturday realized my dose for Sunday is missing. Not sure if I missed my pill last Monday or doubled on Wednesday for no reason. What should i do to stay protected ## With the chance that you missed a pill, you should use extra protection, until are you certain that you have taken one every day, for 7 days in a row, without missing any. In the future, I'd suggest using some type of reminder system to make sure that you take them daily, as required to protect yourself from pregnancy. There are many computer reminder programs, or phone applications that you can use for this. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been using Loestrin 24 Fe since middle July, & yesterday my boyfriend and I had sex and when he pulled out the condom was completely broken. We're not sure if he ejaculated in me but I'm kind of sure he did, because I felt some come out of me. I'm only a 17 yr old senior, so I need to be sure. HELP! ## If you've been taking the contraceptives tablets as prescribed, without missing any tablets, then you should be fine. Preventing pregnancy is what they are for and, when taking properly, they have a failure rate of less than 1%. When in doubt, emergency contraception is also freely available from most U.S. pharmacies and in many states it doesn't require a prescription. Is there anything else I can help with?

this is the first time i take any type of bc. i began to take it on the sunday after my period, because that is when my doc told me to. did i do the correct thing by listening to her and taking it on the sunday after my period or should i have waited to begin taking my 1st pill ever in my life on the day of my period. ## There is really no right or wrong on this, so you did the right thing by following your doctor's instructions. The only difference is, if you start immediately, on the first day of your period, then you are immediately protected, from pregnancy, because it will prevent ovulation from occurring. However, if you don't start until your period has already finished, there is a chance that ovulation has already started. (It usually occurs about 2 days before or 2 days...

I've been on Loestrin 24 for 8 months now. And everything has been fine and has worked for me. It made my periods much, much, much lighter; while my acne has cleared up entirely. However my boyfriend and I were having sex and the condom broke! So now I am scared that the birth control won't protect me from becoming pregnant. My period should be here from today-to 2 days. I feel like it's going to start by the way my body is acting. But I feel like I'm stressing myself out. So maybe it won't show up or whatever. Any ideas? :( ## Yes, you are stressing yourself out and probably needlessly. If you were taking the birth control tablets every day, without missing any, like you are supposed to, then there is less than a 1% failure rate for oral contraceptives. The only way...

i just started on the pill because of severe bleeding ## I started on the pill for the same reason, my tubes are also tied. does Loestrin24 Fe make you sleepy or distant? ## will the pill stop ur monthly r what my monthly came on 2 time when i first start n havin been back on ## No, you still cycle and have your monthly while you are on the pill. ## I feel like my stomach is getting more and more bloated by the day, and I need to lose weight, not gain it. I am not eating more than I ever have. Could this be from the pill? Has anyone gained weight from taking Loestrin 24 fe?? I just started taking it two months ago.

I have a year supply of samples of loestrin24 Fe. However, I want to take them as the loestrin 1/20 28 Rx. Would it not be the same as taking the first 21 pills of the loestrin 24, then a week of iron tablets? Aren't the ingrdients the same in both Rx's? I know that the 24's have 3 more active days and 3 less placebos. Thanks

i have some old loestrin and very little time or money. can i take it? if i do will it help protect pregnancy or just period problems or niether? what is the shelf life? ## The normal expiration date for a prescription is 1 year from the date it was filled, for tablets. If it's past the expiration then it is not advisable, medications lose their effectiveness over time and it would not provide the pregnancy protection that it should.

Alright, so I decided to get on birth control four months ago, mainly because I was tired of constantly having acne (which I treat daily, and it has cleared up significantly, but I was hoping BC would help rid me of it totally), plus I was having crazy mood swings. The first day after I took my first pill I was ill for a long time, feeling like I was about to throw up at any second; for the first two months I had a headache almost every day, was excessively tired, and would randomly feel like I was about to throw up. After I got past the second month though (and I had been forewarned by friends & the doctor that it usually takes three months to get used to the pills), I was fine - I have seen my boobs increase a whole cup size - not unwanted but not greatly appreciated either lol, c...
