A new drug for osteoarthritis Limbrel 500/50mg

I was unable to continue Aleve after seven years. Pain pills made me to groggy and didn't really work. I was referred to a pain Dr. and was put on Limbrel 500/50mg Two times a day. This has to be the best medicine I have ever taken. I have regained my quality of life. Besides my osteoarthritis it helps me feel so much better, almost normal. I hope those of you who are about to give up hope will try this medication. It's very costly but the Dr. can give you samples and a coupon that will bring the cost down to about $50.00 a month. ## Thank you for sharing your experience with others! Limbrel contains Flavocoxid and Citrated Zinc and is specially formulated to help people that suffer from Osteoarthritis. While it can help with the pain and inflammation, it is actually considered ...

FDA prohibiting Limbrel in USA

I just called my pharmacy to renew my Limbrel prescription, only to find out that the FDA has ordered US companies to cease distribution and immediately initiate a recall. What am I going to do now? I have been on Limbrel for 6 years to manage my osteoarthritis pain. Before that, I wore braces on my back, knees, ankles, arms and took an overabundance of NSAID's - and it really didn't relieve any pain. I was unable to enjoy any quality to my life. With Limbrel, I am able to work and have an active social/family life. Now I'm facing that old life again and I'm just wondering what I am going to do? Does anyone know what I can take or do? ## Apparently, the FDA has asked Primus Pharmaceuticals because of liver injury and lung infections due to the use of the drug. Maybe your...

Limbrel - does it work

I have just learned that Limbrel exists. I had been on NSAIDS for years, first a combo of Ibuprofen & Salsalate, then moved from that to Celebrex. Three years ago my kidneys started to fail. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney failure. I was pulled off ALL NSAIDS FOREVER. Needless to say, I was devastated. Yes, I was upset about the kidney failure, but I was MORE upset about the fact I could not take anything for relief of my severe osteoarthritis. My rheumatologist did put me on Plaquenil,, which helps some, but still doesn't address the inflammation. I am on pain meds too, for other reasons, but again, they don't even touch the pain from inflammation. I learned earlier this week, from a Dr. I was sent to for another issue, of the existence of Limbrel. My rheumatologist has...

Limbrel500 Side effect

I have been taking Limbrel500 for about 6 weeks and am experiencing hair loss. I am on estraderm patches and take my own natural meds (small dose of each) and have taken these meds for over a year: 1 flaxseed, 1 fish oil, 1 melatonin, 1 glucosamin, 1 vitamin d, 1 coated baby aspirin. Is there any relationship to introduction of Limbrel500? ## Each capsule of Limbrel provides 500 mg of it's primary ingredient Flavocoxid and also contains 50 mg of citrated zinc bisglycinate, which provides 10 mg of Elemental Zinc. Possible side effects associated with bioflavonoids are more related to an allergic reaction to the medication rather the drug itself causing complications. Some allergic reactions can include: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. User...

Limbrel 500 and Hashimotos

Is Limbrel (contains goitogens) ok to take if I am hypo thyroid and on Levothyroxine? ## Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Limbrel and Levothyroxine. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. Also to note: Limbrel is contraindicated in an extremely small number of patients; being those with hypersensitivity to any component of flavocoxid or to flavonoids. Unless you were diagnosed with this hypersensitivity then I wouldn't worry about this interaction. Does this help to answer your question? Please post back if you have any other comments or concerns regarding this. ## Very helpful. Thank you very much.
