I have lung cancer, COPD, high blood pressure, heartburn, stomach pain, bladder pain and burning, urinary infections, and vaginal dryness and pain and yeast infections. I take pantoprazoloe, lisinop/HCTZ, symbicort, proair, Tylenol, and reclast infusion once a year. The bladder Dr. has given me chlord clidi for my bladder pain and burning. I am worried to take this as it is habit forming and if it will cause problems with my meds and health problems. I wonder if there is a better meds or something better to do for my problems. ## Hi Sylvie, Sorry to hear about your situation. According to umm.edu's drug interaction checker, there are no interactions listed between Librax (chlordiazepoxide and clidinium) & the following medications: Tylenol (acetaminophen) + Lisonopril/Hydrochlor...

I was prescribed Librax for severe diarrhea and hiatal hernia. The drugstore gave me two vials - one looked like the ones I had been precribed years ago... The other vial contained capsules (they said they didn't have enough of the other) which were white with the imprint 814 on them. The manufacturer is Acella. Did they make a mistake? I couldn't find them on the typical pill finders on the internet. ## Was this in the U.S.? Have you double checked with the pharmacy? I have searched all of our resources and can't find anything listed for Librax, with that marking. Acella has purchased several other smaller pharmaceutical companies, so there is a chance that this may be something from one of them, that is new to the market and isn't listed, yet. They recently acquired Pa...

I contacted Valeant Assistance Drug Program and I was faxed the proper papers to complete and have my Gastro. Doc. fill out and submit a script along with my SS earnings for 2013. This was done on 7/7/14. If would be approved the drug would cost me nothing!! Well this afternoon (7/22/14) I received a call from them and they did not approve me for the drug because I have AVMED/Medicare even though my insurance will not fill the script. This really sucks. What does a person have to do to get the proper medicine for IBS. Bentyl doesn't work, I got very sick from it. I am clueless and very upset about this. ## Hello, Janice! How are you? I recently went on to AvMed/Medicare in July 2013 and now my Librax and generic are not covered by Medicare. I was given Bentyl and took it for a few weeks and got very, very sick from it. It took about 3 weeks to finally get the Bentyl out of my system.I think this is outrageous that they do not cover for this medication. I started taking it in Nov. 2011 and had great results. I have battling this since I was 24 and now I am 65 and was so happy to finally start to feel good. When I worked they always deducted for Medicare and we have a deduction on our monthy SS checks so why can't we get what we need. In the long run people will be going to the doctor's more often and having test and will cost the insurance company more money. Looks like we have to be indegent or come off a bo...

green capsule 5-2.5MG ## This is a generic for Librax, which is most commonly prescribed to treat peptic ulcers and IBS. You can learn more Librax details here. It does have the potential to be habit forming, so it should only be used with a doctor's approval and supervision. Are there any questions or comments? Is there anything I can help with? ## I'm just going on Medicare and found out they do not pay for Librax or its generic. What alternative prescribed medicines are there now for IBS?

I have pain in stomach doctor prescribef me anti fungal along with librax and vizilac. He told me to stop antifungaal after 5days but contunue librax and vizilac for a month today i stop antifungal but slight continous pain is still there can it be treated by librax after eating one month. Any side effect of librax and vizylac ## HI, Kotul! How are you feeling? Have things gotten any better? All medications and supplement products can take a few weeks to reach their full effect in the body and really help, that's likely why your doctor wanted you to continue the Librax and Vizylac for a longer period of time. Librax is used to help treat ulcers, IBS and gastritis, because it is helps relieve stomach spasms and abdominal cramps, so it should help if you give it some more time. Are yo...

Just needed some advise if im allergic to Buscopan, can i take Librax? Will i get the same allergy? Do they have the similar ingredients?. ## Hi Kim, What about Buscopan causes the allergy? The type of medication it is? ie: Anti- spasmodic, or a certain ingredient? Librax contains the active ingredients "chlordiazepoxide" and "clidinium", Buscopan contains the active ingredient "hyoscine butylbromide". Therefore, the ingredients don't seem to be similar but I believe that they do treat similar issues. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Librax Details Have you spoken with your doctor about this?

are generic capsules ever yellow ## Yes, these are made by a pharmaceutical company called Rivers Edge, this the RE 369 on the capsule. Chlordiazepoxide is a sedative hypnotic, used to treat various conditions, such as anxiety and alcohol withdrawals. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. You can read more on the medication here: Do you have any other questions? ## Then it was the incorrect medication since this answer indicates it included only one medication (Librium) when it should have been a combination medication used to treat gastritis. Now I know why it was ineffective. It should habe been a combination of chlordiazepoxide HCI clidinium bromide. (capsules have always been green). ## I also checked out Rivers Edge Pharm...in business since 2003, em...

I am trying to get a prescription program. I am on medicare. None of the prescrption programs cover the drug listed above. It is either not covered or is a huge amount. Hoping my gastro doctor can help. Any ,suggestions? ## There usually aren't programs for generics, because they are generally cheaper since they are generic medications. There are, however, two programs that provide assistance for the name brand, but I am not certain of all of the exact terms.
