Levoxyl Shortage

Does anyone know for how long this medicine will be back ordered? I'm taking the generic & I feel like I was hit by a truck, having nightmares, anxiety, etc.

Hello, Blake! How are you? I am very sorry about the problems you're experiencing.

Pfizer has released an update stating that it will begin to ship to pharmacies by about March 3rd. They state that it was recalled due to a manufacturing quality lapse.

Many people are also complaining about experiencing problematic side effects with the alternative medications, including hair loss.

Is there anything else I can help with?

My recent blood labs showed a lower T4 and higher cholesterol. Was wondering if there was a Levoxyl quality problem or if the formula had changed.

Levoxyl is back!!! I just got my prescription filled yesterday, thank God!!

Yes, I have noticed bloating and gas since they brought it back on the market. I take 50mcg tablets. I called Pfizer and got shuffled around to different operators reading from their scripts, each stating that "Pfizer does not guarantee..." and "we are on a recorded line"..and other such nonsense. Its ingredients are however, purchased worldwide and your friendly call center rep explains it is for quality purposes... Some of them are pretty good at reading their scripts. They don't deviate from them. So, how do you find the truth? (I don't think you do). They tell me there are minute ingredients not listed, in minute quantity that may be in the medicine because of where the particular ingredient comes from. For example, like the ingredients of a loaf of bread states "may contain trace amounts of tree nuts, sesame, and egg". Seems like it is the same with Levoxyl. I guess it is a global thing.

I too am experiencing bloating and gas and had attributed it to food intolerance. I also am retaining lots of fluid. Thanks for your post!
