My wife is taking Levipil 500 twice a day for last one year. Now, she is pregnent. Will continual of the medicine will have any side effect on her pregnency ?

My wife aged 28 yrs, she has been taking levipil 500 mg since nov 13 and her doctor advised this tablet to take upto 3 yrs but now a days she is suffering frm whole body swelling and vomiting. So i want to know about side effect of levipil500 or are these side effects of levipil 500.

This medication contains the active ingredient Levetiracetam, it is commonly used to prevent seizures, and to treat some types of mood disorders, according to the NIH.

Thus, the main question here is, has their doctor told them to continue taking it? If so, they should do so, as these conditions could cause dangers to both her and the baby, if left untreated.

The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, mood changes, and weight changes.
