Let's Discuss The Challenges In Getting Our Pain Rx's, (like Oxycodone) Filled.

Probably 99% of patients who get pain med scripts truly need them. There is no need to tell us your diagnosis/condition or if you have a handicapped placard/tag. The bottom line is this: YOU HAVE A LEGITIMATE Rx and PHARMACISTS SHOULD HONOR IT. The ones who refuse to fill it simply enjoy saying so. It gives them the POWER and CONTROL they crave. It is not about losing their license since prescriptions can be verified. Also, they are written on special paper. Sadly, compassion and service are NOT some pharmacists' priority. We patients should have a good appearance and say as little as possible. In addition, a Walmart employee told me I MUST take all my scripts to the same pharmacy. REALLY?? (One was for a rescue inhaler which could mean the difference between life and death! I went back and resubmitted that Rx, no questions asked). Once, I went to 8 pharmacies trying to get my Percocet and then found that PUBLIX would fill it without judging or trying to control me. Publix, where shopping is a pleasure, EVERY time I go there to get my pain meds. Oh, and by the way, deaths from pain pill overdoses have dramatically decreased since the legalization of medical marijuana. My doctor knows I use it since it shows in my drug panels, and she probably finds it to be reassuring that I won't be taking too much Oxycodone. What is YOUR situation or concern?

I have been through this for 14 years trying to get the field finally figured it out. don't deal with mom and pop stores they're too expensive to buy. they want cash because they make a lot more. insurance is not paying them much so when they see an insurance card they go in the back and come back out and say they only have partial. the right way to get them is a national chain like walmart. yes if you take all your medications to that pharmacy to fill with your prescriptions you are more likely to get them filled. if you do not have any non narcotic prescriptions on you when you hand the pharmacist and always deal with the pharmacist not the lady at the desk console pharmacist we hand him the sack of prescriptions do not put the oxycodone on top let c a few othones first so he does not have a opinion if you do not have any nanarcotic before you hand him your prescriptions. If you do not have any non narcotics, ask him to transfer you're other medications from another pharmacy that you use. did you not like filling just narcotics only they want the extra non narcotics to make they're store volume higher the more non narcotics they sell it allows them in their percentage to sell more narcotics so you always want to give them the non and do not ask them if they have them in stock. Ask for a price check. Please give them the attitude you don't care for not you are more interested in the price. it's a really have them they at that point will sell them to you but if it looks like you are feeding for them they will not and do not ever bring a buddy with you. Always go to pharmacy by yourself. The way you find the right pharmacy is called a high volume store. They sell a lot of non narcotics. You can find stores around rich people neighborhoods where old people are. Those are the best because they have a lot of non narcotic prescriptions, so the store can carry more narcotics.

HELP! HELP! HELP!

Can someone tell me which pharmacy has them? I was getting them for 11 years at Walgreens (at Sandy Plains Rd and Piedmont) and now all of sudden they have these cheap white tall pills. I think they had an "M" on them. I took them and I have been in pain since I started those! UGHHHH! The A-214 (made by Actavis) were the best generic 15mg Oxycodone around and now I can not get them anymore. Hellfire... I can't get any kind of 15's right now. I have been out for 4 days now and I am in terrible pain! I can't even sit down for no more than 20 minutes without being in a level 9 pain scale!
