Leading Pharma Lorazepam Reviews (Page 3)

I am really confused about everyone's posts concerning the leading brand Lorazepam. I have been taking the generic form of Lorazepam 2mg for 25 years. I've used every kind, from Watson to the current leading one. It appears that the sugary taste is the primary issue for everyone here.

The amount of negative reviews about this company is absurd. They are no different than any other generic Lorazepam; they work the same. The only difference in this pill is the inactive ingredient, which contains potassium, and that's why the pill tastes like sugar.

However, my point is, if you are a long-term user of benzos, you would have all ended up withdrawing and possibly seizing if the pill really didn't contain the main ingredient. The ER doctor would have been the first to report this pharmacy if your illness had anything to do with it. A negative review does nothing to persuade a discontinued manufacturer to bring back the generic form that any of us got comfortable with.

A Lorazepam is a Lorazepam, and the Leading Pharma Lorazepam is the same as any Lorazepam. It functions just like the rest.

Leading is the closest to Mylan at this point. I never tried teva. Watson was pure garbage as is actavis.

Couldn't agree more........been taking lorazepam since 1983....same dose: 2mg x 3 day...... maybe some people are affected by the fillers...I have no idea why...I'm not a chemist......but I do know the first time I got Leading I read this forum....and THEN I considered Leading not as effective......until about a month or two later I realized not being focused on "the difference", there wasn't any...somehow Leading was working as well as the Watson......which I took after I stopped taking the brand name......anxious people are VERY affected by what they believe.

I never had the option of Mylan but I heard it was pretty good. I started generics once i retired and lost health insurance....Ativan was good but for me it never stopped panic attacks nor extreme anxiety at times...my thinking did that.....I began generics with Watson.....by 2013/2014, Watson was bought by Actavis but they kept the molds so "watson' remained on the 'Actavis' lorazepam. In later years I've had Leading, Actavis and something called Major Pharma (never did find out exactly who they are) and then Teva (who recently bought Actavis's line of generics)......I consider myself lucky that they all basically worked the same. I do know (after 55 years of GAD and panic disorder....the more one concentrates on their symptoms and effectiveness of their meds (some people refuse to believe/accept this)....the worse they feel and many beliefs in ones health or meds- no matter how fallacious - can become fact for them.

For what it's worth - Watson was bought by Actavis back in 2014 and Activis bought the molds too...that's why it still said "watson" on the pills. Last year Teva bought out Actavis but uses new molds, new design but claim the ingredients are the same...just as Actavis did.

I was so effected but the side effects of Leading I filed a complaint with the FDA. The other brands are running out because people are requesting anything besides Leading. So Leading is the only brand available. I would bet it’s a sugar pill. Must be the way my body absorbs this particular brand.

I agree. Have been on Ativan daily for 10 years everyday. I started with Mylan which was great. After a few years they discontinued Mylan and I freaked out, What am I going to do? all the other brands suck, yes its true - they may contain lorazepam but the way the fillers aka cuts react with the drug and your body will make it less effective or more effective. Its not placebo. Leading is basically taking nothing, I tried one day and was literally like taking nothing at all. I went to Watson for a while and worked OK not as good as Mylan but still worked good enough. NOW TEVA bought Watson aka Actavis and the TEVA pills make me so exhausted I can barely walk, they dont do much for me but make me tired, and give me the chills and generally I feel ill, I honestly dont know what to do - I have 1 bottle of Watsons left and that's it - pharmacy said only TEVA or Major or Leading. Major and leading both suck, they dont do a anything...We will just have to wait until a new one comes out?

Watson hasn't been 'Watson' since about 2013 when it was bought lock, stock and molds by Actavis....Actavis continued to use the molds-thats why Activis read "Watson" on the 2mg tablets (which I take, I cannot speak for other dosages). Then last year, Teva bought the ''Watson"/Actavis lorazepam, used hew molds that has their own markings.

Yes, my brand was Watson for years. And the others generic do not work!!! And now on clonazpine . And hate all the side effects!!

If any one is full of bs its you, people will take a medication for years with the same results then one day it has no effect (like when sandoz bought actavis), the two companies tried to say it was still the same product, that's garbage, your body tells you other wise, there was a change made and no doubt the new product is cheaper to make.

The new teva has changed and you will hear a few say that its the same, bs, if its the same why did they change the size of the tablet, been on this medication for over 33 years and until about 9 years ago we never talked about this issue but companies go out and buy other companies drugs so they can cheapen the product to make more money. there is no law that a company who buys another companies product must change the formula, but they do when it comes to lorazepam.

No they are not the same geneics out there Watson 2ng never had withdrawal or side effects. Now on clonopin and it's the worst ?? I'm getting off it.

Nothing, I tried klonopin and it sucks. Bad side effects getting off asap. I will pray my generic prestige works by itself!!

I’m in Minnesota. After struggling with these new “Watson” white pucks, I called a different pharmacy that carries Actavis and switched. I’d say they’re much better than Leading or Watson/Teva, whoever is making these worthless white pucks. Maybe half as good as the ones I used to get from Watson years ago. Still, better than Leading.

Watson was bought by Actavis and they kept the same molds so they still said "Watson". Teva bought Actavis. I have no idea if they kept the same formula or not but they now have Teva's imprint/design.

Thank you very much for explaining this topic in as simplistic terms as possible, so that the millions of different individuals for reasons unknown or perhaps they are lacking in normal average basic common sense; that the majority of the population already understands what’s actually happening regarding this medication and/or any other benzo medication that is currently out on the market because they all pretty much do the exact same thing basically..
I like you have been taking Valium since 7-2007 when a horrible family tragedy occurred & I literally went crazy for a long time.. In the beginning I used to take 10 mg five times a day and after a few years I then personally chose to taper/ I took myself down over a long period of time and now I take one 5 mg tablet three times a day.. like you I have experienced a myriad of different generics that I would get from my neighborhood pharmacy mostly Walgreens at the time over the years and they always had the exact same affect on me as any other one as even the brand-name one..
these people I don’t think they understand about the inactive ingredients and that inactive ingredients are just buffers to make the pill a little bigger or whatever and they don’t actually have anything to do with the effect of the diazepam or lorazepam or Clonopin whatever Xanax… The core drug is there and that is the only thing that actually works for the anxiety or whatever it is being prescribed for.. volume is also used as a muscle relaxer.. All benzodiazepines work in an exact similar way once digested into one’s blood stream. Some may be a stronger milligram or a weaker milligram but they all work on our central nervous system in the exact same way..
The only drug/ prescribed medication that I’ve found that I dislike some specie brands of Soma 350 msg which is a non-addictive muscle relaxer which works really well with any type of opiate pain medication like Norco or Percocet Dilaudid. Codeine morphine it just depends the severity of your pain where it is located and if muscle spasms are a significant part of your pain then when you combine the sauna with whatever type of pain medication you’ve been prescribed it works 100 times better but nowadays the last 10 years I want to say ever since this whole drug addiction opiate craze has been going on in the world and in the United States they are much harder to get prescribed by your physician mean I have chronic issues and I only get a very minimal amount of them not nearly enough that I need but it’s better than none and when you’re a chronic pain patient the way I am you never have a pain-free day ever it’s never a pain free step the most you can hope for is that it is tolerated enough to where you can live somewhat of a normal life where it brings the level of pain down enough to where I’m capable of doing things like every day things but then there are days that I just can’t push past it like right now I’m having a horrible day right now it just sucks for me big-time anyway I hope that this is straightened anything out and again I appreciate you very much for explaining in the way you did you’re a good man
