Lisinopril 20mg Side Effects

Has Lisinopril made anyone hungrier or made you gain weight? I am also getting terrible cramps in my legs. I started taking Potassium on my own to stop this pain. Any advice?

Yes, those can be side effects of this medication, according to FDA warnings, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.

Have you informed your medical provider of these issues? There are others you can try, which may not cause you the same problematic side effects.

Lisinopril caused leg cramps and a cough. I got off of it after several months.

Madeline, I've been on a 5 mg dose of Lisinopril for about 3 months. I did research at the manufacturer's site and found that Lisinopril causes retention of Potassium and that we should be on a Low Potassium diet. Please check into this right away with your Doctor... too much Potassium is just as dangerous as too little. - Jim
