The blue pill with L498 on it is Aleve: over-the-counter Naproxen Sodium.

Based on the description provided, I found your pill to be Guaifenesin extended release (600 mg).

Guaifenesin is used in the treatment of coughing, but the drug has numerous other uses, including medical, veterinary, and personal.

NOTE: this pill is classified as white- not light blue
