I've got pcos and am married. I was taking metformin from the past 6 months and my periods got regular now. And when i went to my dr. for a checkup she advised me to take krimson-35 along with metformin from 13th-18th days of my cycle. But after reading the leaflet i've got several doubts, like can i conceive? It has been stated if i miss a tablet i can conceive... plz suggest whether i should take it or not? I've already bought 2 strips but am still in doubt.

Based on my research, each Krimson 35 tablet contains the following active ingredients:

Cyproterone acetate BP (2mg) + Ethinyloestradiol IP (0.035mg).

This medication acts as an oral contraceptive (which is meant to prevent pregnancy), therefore, if you engage in intercourse and miss one of the pills there is a chance you could become pregnant. If you are worried about becoming pregnant, I would speak with your doctor about adding in another oral contraceptive for extra protection. Krimson 35 should not be used solely for the purpose of contraception.

Just remember to take your medication as prescribed and you should be just fine! Are there any more questions?

Hi. My doctor advised me to take krimson 35 starting from the 3rd day of my period and to continue for 21 days. Once I finish the tablet I'm supposed to get my periods again. My question is, when do I start taking the tablet again for the second cycle? Either on the 1st day of the period or 3rd day? Also, is krimson 35 safe for treating pcod?
