I have been on Klonokin for 20 + years as it helps with my Dystonia. Look that condition up!.I don't trust generics, but that is for a good reason. Remember, Generic Drug manufactures can't be sued for medications they distribute. The FDA has instituted that policy-for reasons I 'll never understand. However, Klonopin is now available nationwide. Being frustrated, I call the manufacture of the medication-Roche Pharmaceuticals, and tonight I called again. They told me it is being distributed to Pharmacy's & Group Insurance companies as I type this. In case you want to call, this is the #---877-436-3683. Hopefully we will get the relief we need. Good Luck & GOD BLESS. Michael.

Hello, Michael! How are you? I hope you can get your prescription filled soon.

Klonopin is a benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. These medications carry the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.

Are there any other questions or concerns?

Michael Shine Says:

Thank you ! No, I've never had problems with Klonopin & only take 2 1 mg Tablets p/day-never more. It has been prescribed by my neurologist for the spasms that can occur with Dystonia. Specifically, Cervical Dystonia. Many neurologists think that is the best of medications for Dystonia. Yes, wish there were other choices, but that works best for me. Not at all worried about becoming addicted as my Doctors monitor me every 6 months for blood work, dystonia, & physicals, etc,.

I'm glad that it's working so well for you.

One word of caution, in the future, you should also be careful not to stop this medication cold turkey, since you've been taking it for such a long time. Doing that creates the risk of seizures.

Dystonia patient Says:
via mobile

As a 21yr dystonia patient (cercical/spasmodic torticollis), I found out to be extremely leery of some generics, after years of trust. And reporting to the FDA after my ordeal got no results.
I stuck with TEVA for Gabapentin til made by them no longer, then to Cipla and now Ascend.
With klonopin/clonazepam , with TEVA until made by them no more and on successfully so far to Actavis.
But other than TEVA, and Cipla, I really feel very insecure with the other brands.
