Hi. I'm Kelly. I had severe head injury 23 years ago; was in coma for a month and half and had 15% permanent disability. I've always gotten very confused pretty easily but it's gotten much worse. I'm supervisor at drug store and at end of night I am to calculate and record financial information. I took $6,000 back to office and totally forgot to count it. Just left it lying on desk scattered out and I don't remember doing it. Or not doing it. It kills me to think of the morning supervisor walking into office and finding all of that. That prompted me to make an appointment w/Neurologist. I've had these feelings of zoning out; it's weird and can't explain it. So, she put me on Keppra. It is absolutely horrible. I'm taking 1500 mg a day. I've been on...

Can Nitrofur-Macr 100mg be taken with keppra, trileptal, enalapril and prednisone? ## Hi TA, There's actually quite a few different interactions found between every medication you mentioned "except" for Nitrofu-Macr...you can view these interactions below: Enalapril and Prednisone: Corticosteroids may antagonize the effects of antihypertensive medications by inducing sodium and fluid retention. Prednisone and Trileptal (oxcarbazepine): Coadministration with oxcarbazepine may decrease the plasma concentrations of drugs that are substrates of the CYP450 3A4 isoenzyme. Keppra (levetiracetam) and Trileptal (oxcarbazepine): Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause thes...

side effects ## Keppra Info Click Here ## My sister is 65 and has had severe migraines for years 40 plus. She has been getting shots of Stadol and Demoral. Neither is working now. She saw a neurologist last week and he put her on 500 mg of Levetiraceta. It is making her really sick to her stomach. She call the Dr. Office and told them but the nurse only replied that she should eat a saltine but keep taking them. She is supposed to go on a higher dosage Sept 6. Can you tell me the side effects other than what they have on the website? Also, that Neurosurgeon is supposed to give her an Optical Block shot. Can you tell me about that also and what the dangers aare.

Want to know if I can take neuroaid with my keppra meeds? Also does neuroaid contain tramadol? If it does I would not be able to take it because I have had a massive allergic reaction to tramadol. ## Dear Kerry, Yes, NeuroAiD can be taken with Keppra. We have patients who are taking keppra and NeuroAiD and did not report any adverse reactions. NeuroAiD has all natural ingredients and does not contain Tramadol. For more updated information about NeuroAiD, please visit our website at neuroaid.com ## I'm not sure if Neroaid contains Tramadol - it would be ideal to get some independent lab testing done because even natural products from other countries may contain undisclosed pharmaceutical ingredients. With that said, of course the product could be completely legitimate. I would say th...

what are known and possible side effects if this medication ## i've been taking keppra for about 9 years now and I've noticed that it does make me sleepy. It's not really bad where I can't function or work. It's really easy for me to fall asleep at night. Aside from that I haven't noticed anything else. It really helps keep my seizures under control as well. I hope this helps*** ## Keppra contains the active ingredient Levetiracetam, this is an anticonvulsant used to treat epilepsy, Some of the most common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, sensations of pins and needles in the extremeties and irritability. please let me kow of any interactions with alcohol and keppra ## yes, alcohol is a bad mixture with this medication. I would advise you to really think that through. I ended up in the emergency room 2 months ago because I had a break through seizure due to alcohol. ## Keppra contains the active ingredient Levetiracetam and is an anticonvulsant medication. That said, it is never a good idea to mix alcohol with prescription medications. Not only can it reduce the effectiveness of some, as Sarah discovered, but it can also aggravate the side effects. Some of the most common side effects of this medication include: nausea, hair loss, headache and depression. You can read more about this medication here: Is there anything else I can help you with?

Anyone have experience with Keppra as a mood stabilizer? I'm taking it, and it seems to help. No side effects. But it is used for epilepsy and seizures in adults. ## The medications of choice in the last several years to treat bipolar are anti-seizure meds which seem to have mood stabilization as a possible secondary indication. If you haven't discussed this with your doctor, please do. I've been on various anti-seizure medications for the last couple of years for my bipolar. Some work some don't. As I've found out, there is little in the way of prediction as to whether a given medication might work. Trial and error. You must give them time, I've noted up to 2 months before passing judgement. I'm on Lamictal now with moderate success. This is another anti-sei...
