Just Finished 6 Month Treatment A Few Days Ago, Wtf Is Going On ???

Updated

I did well all the way thru my treatement until now when I'm just done. I'm having clear bright colorful dreams while I'm wide awake, I'm seeing sparkles of bright vibrant colors when I close my eyes and my thoughts are actual images I can see in my mind, I can literally see what I'm thinking. I have this constant smell that won't go away, my ears are ringing, my head feels like it's about to explode, I'm cramping in my abdomen, legs and back, my stomach is hurting so bad. Called my doctor, said to get to hospital, WTF is going on, am I dying ?

If you just finished treatment. Your not going through withdrawals. Your Dr. said to get to the hospital, get to the hospital! I am not a nurse, but with the smells and the visions you may be suffering some sort of brain injury....

GET TO THE HOSPITAL! NOW!

It'd be awfully ironic if you're having some sort of brain tumor or other brain issue after just finishing some sort of treatment.....Probably has something to do with the six months of chemicals you've been thru. What did the treatment consist of? I hope you're at the hospital by now! Let us know how you're doing!

In 2013 my pain management clinic was closed for three weeks after a raid by every law enforcement agency u can name. This caused me to run our of medication. My FABU family physician have me the medicine I needed till they opened again. Let me just break this down. I've been under a pain manager care since 1995 & have been told I'll likely deal with this the rest of my life. In 54 years of age. Female. January 2014 surprise clinic closed for good. Again my kindly Dr got new thru til saw New Dr. I've been taking drug panels monthly for fourteen years. They're expensive as hell. Never failed one. So. The newest Dr I've seen thinks he's my friend and decides he's going to "get me off these pain killers". Great. Cuts my meds by seventy percent! Yes I was freaking out and no I'd not done anything to deserve this such as suddenly failing a drug panel. The next month he changes the medicine I've taken for ten years to oxycontin from morphine xr. So my eighty year old mother who is a hippy, still drives and works for a local health food store in SC(I'm in Ohio) is worried. Im n pain & going thru withdrawals and can't talk with her on or regular Sunday ph call. Two days later,I receive a FedEx package from her with holistic remedies, organic vitamins etc. There's a dry tea mix the on site Indian healer tells me to begin immediately. I do. I feel better after three small cups of this tea. Better as in the pain is better, I don't feel as depressed or hopeless etc. Next appt with the M.D.I'm told the office is closing!!!! My family guy gets me in with a new place and gives me exactly eight 30mg morphine er to take twice a day till my appt four days later.. The PA I saw there doesn't want to prescribe me medicine till she received results of my UA. My next appt is tomorrow. Meantime I find out thru my mother this tea contains poppy seeds as well as pod pieces, kavakava, valerian...u get the picture. I fully expected to be called and told not to bother coming to tomorrow's appt instead I got a reminder call on Fri not to forget my appt Monday. Should I be completely honest with this PA or Dr I see what I've been doing? I'm NOT a drug addict. I've NEVER taken illegal drugs except pot in my teens and now this tea. Never failed a drug panel. Ever. Since 1995. I'm freaking out!!

@keikee,

Do you remember what the name of that tea is called? I'm very much into holistic remedies as well and know someone who'd probably benefit from a concoction like that.

Regarding your doctor's appointment, I would just be completely honest about what you're taking. Poppy seeds are commonly found in muffins too, and being that it's a natural tea they really shouldn't get on your case in my opinion. It would probably be worse off if you had taken a UA and it came back positive for something you didn't tell the doctor about upfront.

Whatever happens though, I'd just go with the flow and speak naturally what's on your mind if there's anything else you feel that your doctor should be aware of. In the end this will only help build a better doctor-patient relationship and create a more open line of communication.

I hope this helps!

I was curious if your UA came back crazy high back in Jan 2014 after drinking the Indian tea with Poppy pod and Valerian Root, etc. I saw a reply that told you of poppy seeds in muffins too. But not all poppies are opiate in nature. Where I live there are some crazy colored poppies but the pods are not opiate in nature. I don't think you're likely to find opiate poppies in this nation unless someone smuggled opiate pods in from an Asian country. Opiate poppies growing in your yard is illegal. And the health food store your mom works for can't risk selling a tea that contained opiate poppy pod. The Feds would have them shut down. Some herbs are illegal in some states and legal in others. But opiate poppies are illegal across the board. Valerian Root tastes horrible and smells worse but would be a good homeopathic way of easing symptoms of withdrawal. Add some lavender to a diffuser and breathe in the aroma. That would help relax and relieve anxiety of withdrawal. Chamomile tea and ginger root should help ease any nausea. Good luck to you.

Pacific,

The drug panel I took after drinking the tea came back showing I had levels of opioids too high for their equipment to measure! It showed I had codeine as well as morphine. I have a copy of that result here in my records. My doctor believed the drug panel was a major screw up of some kind because my behavior the day of the evaluation was certainly coherent, composed, awake etc...the "opium poppy" or P Somniferum isn't native to the US however it does grow here. I don't know what year the seeds made it over but they did and people grew them and still do. They're annuals with some being self sewing (sp). By that I mean the seeds escape the dried poppy pod, winter over (unless it's like below zero) & grow the following spring. It's illegal but unless you're caught growing them by the acre, scoring the ripe pods & collecting the opium juice or whatever, you're probably ok to grow a few. The seeds can be bought from many sources including but not limited to the internet. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for asking btw. Beautiful day here finally! Hope it is for you too.
