Being diabetic, I am taking pioz 15 & glizide M daily after meals but sugar level remains 160. Pl. suggest may I continue or consult our doctor. Pl. also inform whether 160 is normal blood sugar level after meals. ## It is normal for there to be some elevation after meals, but there are also some other relevant things that should be taken under consideration. The first is, you said you are taking them after you meal, this means that if you are checking your blood sugar level right after you finish eating, the medication hasn't even had a chance to start working, yet. It will take them 15 to 20 minutes to start working in your body and, at that point, the full effects of your food haven't even hit your body, yet. I use of amaryl for 12 years with other medications but level remained uncontrolled recently my doc perscribed janumet 1000 twice a day with amaryl 6 ..sugar level stated to get down but sometimes to 50 when I start feeling hypo symptoms. I am male 64 yrs and use insulin lentus 40/day as well ...which one to reduce or eliminate ## Hi, Abubakr! How are you? Sorry about the hypoglycemic symptoms, those can be quite awful. As to which one to reduce though, you should consult your doctor. They would be the person best able to advise you on that. When does it usually happen, after using the insulin, or one of the others?

I can/T swallow the pill Janumet 50/1000 can this be crushed safely. ## As long as you don't have the time released formulation, which is called Janumet XR, then yes, you can crush or cut the pill to make it easier to swallow. Learn more Janumet details here. It is not safe to do so with the time released Janumet XR, because it may cause you to get too much of the medication, at once. I take janumet 50mg/500mg and glycomet gp1 daily.today my FBS & PP were notice at 253 & 323 respectively.kindly advise me whether it is safe to take janumet 50mg/500mg with glycomet gp1 so please advise me the exact dose required for the treatment. My weight is 78 kg height 5.10 ich.

What is the difference between Janumet XR 50mg/100 mg and Glipizide 5mg? Can they be used together? ## Janumet XR contains the active ingredients Metformin and Sitagliptin in a time released formulation to help better lower and control blood sugar in diabetic people. The Glipizide is a different oral antidiabetic medication. Has your doctor instructed you to use both medications? I'm taking Janumet at strength 1000/50 twice a day. I have read that the company starts doing once daily tablets of this pill. Is it already on market? My doctor doesn't know anything about this. Is someone heard something? How can I received it and what strength are available.
