Jadelle Side Effects Diarrhea

I am a breastfeeding mum. My baby is 2 months old and I had my implants inserted 2 weeks ago, since then, anytime I breastfeed her, she poos immediately. I end up changing her diaper up to 6 to times daily. The poo is yellowish and sometimes greenish with a little bit of mucous. I have tried giving her Ors and zinc but it just won't stop. Should I take out the implants? As I'm really worried she has started to feel lighter. Please consider this post an emergency.

Hi Stella,

Sorry to hear about concerns with your baby. I have found a bit of information which says that there may be concern for babies 6 weeks or younger because their livers may have trouble metabolizing some of the hormones passed to them through the mother's breast milk. In your case I would take the baby to a doctor ASAP since diarrhea can be a big dehydration risk for infants, in addition to the weight loss. Please do not wait to see the doctor!
