My husband is on Januvia 100mg. for 5 weeks now and his dugar level has gone up to 335. Before he started taking it he was 219. I know this is not normal. Has this happened to anyone else. Thank you for your feedback.

Verwon Says:

Januvia contains the active ingredient Sitagliptin, this is used to help lower blood sugar.

Some of the most common side effects may include: nausea, headache, dry mouth and cold-like symptoms.

You can read more about this medication here:

https://www.medschat.com/wiki/Januvia/

As to his blood sugar being higher, there is a possibility that he may need a dosage adjustment or this medication may not work for him.

Have you consulted with his doctor about this?

My doctor advised me to take Januvia (Sitagliptin)-100 mg, in addition to Insulin (twice a day- 22/22)... I have been on Human mixtard 30/70, for 15-years already and my readings are 140/190...

Should I continue with my doctor's advice? Thank you.
