Itching From Contrave (Page 2)

I have been taking Contrave for three weeks and have developed itching on the insides of my hands and the bottoms of my feet. Has anyone else experienced this?

I am also itching from head to toe.
I'm taking 2 & 2 I guess I need to cut back.
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one!

Does the itching caused by contrave get better or do you have to stop

Following in the meantime I switched to Belviq. The itching caused hives which is a severe reaction

How long does it take to get Contrave out of your system?? I had severe nausea and itching with Contrave to the point that I had bumps and the itch was all over my body. According to my doctor I was allergic to Contrave which is why my symptoms were so intense and not going away. I stopped Contrave 3 and half days ago and the itch is still there but the nausea is getting better.

My dr told me to take a zyrtec every night. Stopped it immediately. She said if that didn't work then I had to stop taking it.

Hey there I had to get a steroid shock to stop the itching. Took2 weeks.

Yes try a Zyrtec every night. Worked for me. It's what my doctor recommended

Yes, I'm experiencing the itching too. Mainly on my fingers but I do occasionally experience itching on my toes as well. It started when I went to 2 am / 2 pm. I dropped back to 2 / 1.

Imy doctor had me start taking a Zyrtec D at night. Stopped the itching immediately

Yes, Contrave has caused horrible itchiness on my feet and palms.

I've been on contrave 3 weeks now. Itching is unreal. my ears, head and back with hives itch so bad my skin turned red. Took Benadryl and took a cold shower and had no results. At first I had no idea it could be the contrave because I've been on it so long. But now that I've read everyone's post I'm thinking it must be. Going to call my Dr. in the morning to see what she thinks. ( glad to see I'm not alone)

Did that help? I'm wondering if reducing helped. I loved the medicine and wanted to continue issues it. The itching was horrible and not really feasible.

Just started itching 3 days ago. Have only been a little over 1 week taking Contrave. Stopped taking it & went to Dr. Steroid shot , pills, & cream still itching. I am miserable.

What did you do to help with itchy palms? I'm taking Benadryl it helps but only for an hour or so. What can I do for this itching? Thank you.

Zyrtec helped me more than Benadryl. Shortly after taking a Zyrtec, no more itchy palms or feet.

I've been taking Contrave for about 3-4wks and I started itching yesterday.. My hands, top of feet, inner part of my arms. Is this normal. I'm taking 2 in the morning and 2 at night.

I'm having to take Benadryl for the itching.. It's driving me insane..
