Is My Losartan Gluten Free?

My pharmacy changed my losartan so now I get ones manufactured by Aurobindo. I have celiac and am trying to pin down why I feel I've been "glutened". Do you know if this manufacturer uses gluten?

Here is a list of ingredients listed in Losartan manufactured by Aurobindo. (NDC 65862-201 among others)

- Cellulose, Microcrystalline
- Lactose Monohydrate
- Starch, Corn
- Hydroxypropyl Cellulose, Low Substituted
- Magnesium Stearate
- Hydroxypropyl Cellulose
- Hypromellose 2910 (6 Mpa.s)
- Titanium Dioxide
- Fd&c Blue No. 2
- D&c Yellow No. 10
- Water

Even though gluten a derive ingredient is not on that list, I would still check up with your primary care physician to ensure that none of the ingredients here will cause you to feel "glutened". It's always better to be safe than sorry.

Post the manufacturer name or the NDC code and then it should be possible to find the inactive ingredients...
